If you’re an anxious person, you’ll find that you act very composed in actual emergencies/crisis. Everybody will be running around but you’re unreasonably chill. Even in grief, you’re too cool, at best you’re shocked. Nothing too overwhelming. It’s actually such an irony.

I’m of the strongest opinion that a bad UI is in itself a bad user experience. There’s no such thing as I’m good in UX but I’m not good in UI. I don't believe the two concepts should be mutually exclusive. Good UX is not possible without good UI.

One thing I’ve learnt from men this year is audacity. I don’t even mean this in a bad way. Men will demand what they want and get it. Stop being so shy in asking for what you deserve. Ask, ask, ask. If you don’t get it, move on but don’t be shy to ask.

If your laptop battery lasts < 6 hours and you don’t have good light in your place of residence, you’ll find out that you spend a lot of money on light. Add it to data expense, hehe. Working remotely is comfortable and flexible but it’s not cheap. At all.

If you master use of color, typography and spacing. You’re 70% on your way to presenting a very clean UI. Other factors come to play, i.e layout, elements sizing, contrast, visual balance etc. but if you master the first three, you’re well on your way in my opinion.

Today, I designed a mobile app for prepaid metering. I’m sure we’re all familiar with the phrase “Up Nepa”😄 It’s an app that monitors your electricity usage as well as make DIY top-up seamless, eliminating the need to input the token number into your prepaid meter manually.

I didn't know I could prototype my input fields to allow anyone to type any character from the keyboard in figma. I just discovered it today. Thought it was only framer/invision that allows that interaction. This is interesting.
