Wemby just made a layup...while fading out of bounds...with his whole body (really, everything but his hand) completely behind the backboard. One of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen, and it isn't even his best moment in the first *half*

Currently working on an object detection model for players (and the ball hopefully) to study spacing on offense, and also examine lots of other metrics like shot contest distance Here's where it currently stands. Would be great if it could stop seeing the scoreboard as the ball

Wright State's Trey Calvin is a player who stood out during my evaluation of some notable autoeligible prospects. The All-Horizon League guard may be smaller in stature, but possesses excellent court vision and a wide array of dribble combinations and finishing moves

If he can cut down on his turnovers, I think that UConn's Andre Jackson could sneak into the second round conversation. Athletic 6'6" wing who's a good passer for his size, and absolutely locked up K. Richmond on this dribble-drive

My friends...we are back. The full version of my NBA Draft prediction model for 2023-24 is here, including college, G-lg, and international prospects. The best part? It does not take 10 years to open anymore. Runtime adjustments have been added. Enjoy!

Been playing around with some player tracking data recently. This is what an NBA game looks like with retro Football Manager graphics. Sequence of events: Valanciunas dunk Zeller dunk Lowry missed jumper

He has the potential to break the record for the best overall combine performance for a guard, which according to my Combine Score metric, belongs to Zach LaVine in 2014

If you think 46 is high, wait until I have him as a first rounder for the third year in a row

Promised myself I wasn't going to do draft grades this year, but that AJ Johnson pick is just inexcusable. F. Big, fat F.

For anyone wondering if the heights in here are with/without shoes: they're with. Klintman measured at 6'8.5" at the combine w/o shoes but is listed at 6'10" here. Djurisic also gets a boost That would make Topic 6'5.5", Salaun 6'8.5", Risacher 6'8.25", and Dadiet 6'7.5"

One thing I like to look at every year is how players who participated in their second combine performed relative to their first. This year, every player's Combine Score improved in their second time around, except for Coleman Hawkins. Harrison Ingram saw a major improvement

Hi everyone, a lot of people were asking me how my Combine Score metric relates to the draft. As a result, I put together a Tableau dashboard with a few helpful visualizations that may answer some of your questions (link below)
