Thrilled to see this photo, never seen before, posted today. Capucine being interviewed on stage at The San Sebastián Film Festival in 1969, where The Exquisite Cadaver was Spain’s official entry,me waiting in the wings.
You can see by the look on my face how much I adored her.
Huge 90th Birthday Greetings to my much loved friend of over 50 years, & one of the most talented & versatile actors I’ve ever seen work, & certainly one of the very nicest.
The wonderful Brian Murphy!
The amazingly talented Lindsay Kemp has died. A major collaborater with Bowie, he was a star in his own right.
Very much part of the 60s & 70s art scene - I loved him.

Devastated to hear my beautiful friend,Mary Collinson the second of our beloved

has died.
Apart from her iconic status as an Hammer actress, she was a stalwart protector of animals & was one of the sweetest people I have ever met.

It’s the total legend that is Paul McCartney’s 80th birthday today & an excuse to repost a photo I am so proud to have taken on my little Kodak Brownie camera on Jane Asher’s 21st birthday on April 25th on our Bristol Old Vic USA tour in 1967.
Happy Birthday, Sir Paul McCartney.
Remembering the magnificent Peter Cushing, born on this day in 1913 , & the honour and privilege it was to share the screen with him.
Never ever forgotten.
Happy Birthday to one of the finest actors I have ever worked with, Man About The House himself, Richard O’Sullivan.
It was truly wonderful to share gossip & giggles with you last week. Here’s to the next time.
So v sad to hear Shirley Anne Field has died. Starred in my fav film of the 60s, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. I sat next to her in a Con in Birmingham & Ken Cranham called me. I told him who I was next to & he insisted I pass the phone to her. (I think they’d had a thing😉)
When
@TeriAnneScoble
& I dropped in on our friend Richard 0’Sullivan, he was very keen to wish all his fans a very Merry Christmas! So I’m passing the message on!
In 1972 I was in Angel’s costumiers in the West End for Pete Walker’s The Flesh and Blood Show, & put into this bikini. The lovely lady fitting me ‘Worn by Raquel Welch, you know’
No doubt that the fab Ms Welch had several copies, & may have rejected this. But I was well chuffed.
Always remembering Peter Cushing, who died 11/08/1994. Much missed but never forgetting the honour & privilege it was to share the screen with this quite magnificent actor.

This the moment he appeared in the door of my cottage, & the memory of the terror he instilled is as vivid today as when we filmed it.
Remembering this magnificent actor, born on this day in 1913; never forgetting Peter Cushing, & the honour and privilege it was to share the screen with him.

Sad news. I worked with this fine actor on the Dead of Night episode Two In The Morning. Such a gentle man with a beautiful voice & a dry sense of humour.
R.I.P.
And while we’re on the subject of my stellar (😉) career, you might like to know that the brilliant

channel is showing the highest grossing U.K. film in 1974, Val Guest’s Confessions of A Window Cleaner, tonight at 23:20.
I see the fine actor Robert Powell is trending. Time for me to have a little boast. He kissed me, in a boat on the Adriatic, in the BBC’s film of the life of Shelley.
There were a few takes. Well, the boat kept bobbing about.Obviously.
Does acting get any better than this?
Yesterday I popped this Christmas card in the post. Teri Anne Scoble & I had an appointment to share a festive visit with Richard yesterday, which sadly had to be postponed to The New Year, because of new Covid restrictions.

Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my exceptionally talented friend of nearly 60 years ( gulp) Kenneth Cranham, which is roughly how long ago I took this snap on the lawn of our college.
Here with his much loved girlfriend of the time.
(Can you guess who it is?)
Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my dear friend of over - gulp - 50 years! One of the finest (& most versatile) actors I have ever known & certainly one of the loveliest of men.

I am quite simply devastated to hear the sad news about one of the greatest & & most fascinating actors I have ever worked with.
I loved him.
R.I.P. Freddie Jones
Sometimes I’m astonished at all the brilliant actors I have worked with.
Remembering the marvellous George Sewell, born on this day in 1924, sharing the screen here with me in one on my earliest tellys ‘Spindoe’ directed by soon-to-become superstar Mike Newell, for Granada TV.
Remembering the uber talented actress Jacqueline Pearce who died 3 years ago OTD.Famous for Hammer Films but also for Blakes7, she was so very special. It was a joy & a privilege to have worked with her & wonderful to meet up again a few years ago at The London Film Convention.
Birthday Greetings to my fabulously talented friend of over 50 years, Kenneth Cranham.
( & yes, I got the wrong month last time, as he was the first to tell me 🤣)
What a beautiful evening at the fabulous Caroline Munro’s Christmas Party for her fans. Here with special guests, fellow Hammer ladies Pauline Peart & Martine Beswicke, raising money for Maggies’s at The Royal Free Hospital.
OK. Getting a bit casual about all this.
BUT:
I have 2 movies on tonight on tonight. All these years later.
Forgive me for pinching myself.
Not cool, I know…
Happy Birthday to the extraordinary Anita Harris. Quite apart from being an amazingly talented perennial entertainer, she is just the nicest person you could ever wish to meet.
Here we are last year at The London Film Fair.
Remembering the great actress Yootha Joyce who died on 24/08/1980 - just 5 years after these happy pictures were taken. What fun we had.

My first telly! That’s me being bossed by Ena . Those dragons were terrifying to work with back then but actually wonderful as well,as you can imagine. And yes, the 1st episode in colour.
Coronation Street - written by Malcolm Lynch (3rd November 1969). Ena - as expected - proves to be a less than willing patient.
This was the first episode recorded in colour (apart from the titles and film sequences) although it was still transmitted in black and white.
A really wonderful morning today, with fabulous artist & friend Teri-Anne Scoble, sharing giggles & memories with one of the most talented actors I have ever worked with.

Remembering the superb actor Peter Cushing, born on this day on 1913. Never forgetting what an honour & privilege it was to work with this finest of men, one of the the gentlest & yet most talented I’ve known.
Wishing the totally wonderful Valerie Leon a birthday as fabulous as she is.

Never forgetting that fine actor Ralph Bates; always such fun to work with, but also always produced great work. We lost him far too soon 33 years ago.

My ID badge has just turned up at the bottom of a long forgotten box, bringing with it memories of the excitement I felt 40 years ago this month. The new ITV company in the South of England, TVS, started broadcasting & I started my career as a Continuity Announcer for the company.
A very Happy Birthday to one of the most wonderful ( & versatile!) actors I have ever known, & my very dear & kind friend of over 40 years. The extraordinary Brian Murphy.
Barbara Shelley has died. She matched Christopher Lee's Dracula and Rasputin for blazing bravura. She became the cat girl and the Gorgon; fought the mad medicos of Wolfit and Cushing; inhabited a village of the damned and channelled the Martians. Our greatest horror actress.
In hair & makeup trailer; all done & ready to go to set.
For what I can’t tell you, having signed a non disclosure disagreement !
We’ll just have to wait till 2025.
Desperately sad to hear about this. Such a joy working with him in The Sweeney. He was, I think, a very underrated talented actor, known as he was for those popular series; one who made it look so easy.
R.I.P.
Just gotta say how chuffed I am that work I did as a jobbing actress in 1971 is still being shown on national television.
Thanks to the wonderful
@TalkingPicsTV
Wishing Birthday Greetings to my beautiful & supremely talented friend of almost 60 years. She is astonishingly fabulous, and she is the best friend a girl could ever have- hence the tremendous longevity of our beautiful friendship.
Happy Birthday Dame Helen💕💕💖💖
Devastated to hear that the brilliant actor, & fascinating erudite man, Stephen Greif has died. I absolutely loved working with him way back in Citizen Smith, & especially catching up with him several times since.
Condolences & sympathy to his family & friends
A reminder of Dennis’s vast versatility, from musicals to Shakespeare, with the finest of contemporary theatre thrown in at the Royal Court Theatre in the 60s.
A huge & underrated talent.
Dennis Waterman obituary
Remembering the most fascinating actor I have ever worked with. And I’ve worked with a few.
Born on this day in 1927. Thinking of his family on his birthday.
The much missed Freddie Jones.
Remembering the fine British character actor Ronald Lacey, born on this day in 1935.
Best known as Col Toht in Raiders of The Lost Ark, he was hugely entertaining & wonderful to work with on Crucible of Terror.
R.I.P. the magnificent Mary Quant, who introduced us all to hot pants & miniskirts, both of which were a huge part of my life, all those many years ago!
Remembering this magnificent man today on his birthday. A superb actor & a gentle, gentle man; it was truly an honour and a joy to have worked so closely with him.
R.I.P.
Very sad to hear the brilliant Glenda Jackson has died. I first saw & loved her in Peter Brook’s production of The Marat Sade in ‘64. Her performance was mesmerising, as have been so many of her performances throughout the ages.
A truly great actor.
I was delighted to be invited to the amazing Caroline Munro’s Christmas party for her fans, yesterday. They were all such fun! And terrific to catch up with the Hammer & Bond star, stunning Madeline Smith there too.
My tiny bit in remembrance of the total brilliance that was Barry Cryer (which I believe was a perennial of his). Introducing himself at Fenella Fielding’s memorial service:
“Hello. My name’s Barry Cryer. Just in case you though Brad Pitt had let himself go a bit.......”
Happy Birthday to that fine actor Julian Glover. I was so chuffed to be signing alongside him last year at the wonderful Covcon, where we were both working to make money for Caroline Munro’s chosen charity
@MaggiesCentres
Wishing my brilliant friend of over 50 years, Kenneth Cranham, the happiest of birthdays!
Here after his phenomenal Olivier Award winning performance of The Father, one of the finest performances I’ve ever seen.
