What they mean is that to them, Izuku is dirt and Ground Zero is diamonds, so to the ignorant it’s obvious that they shouldn’t mix. Deku and Kacchan knew each other before he even *was* Ground Zero, but that’s not the public’s business, and his mate is a private person.
