One of the coolest stories about Pearl Harbor is that during the attack from Japan, there was one bomber whose target was the temple. And every time he tried to bomb it, his plane would jam up. This happened 3 times. This pilot eventually joined the church. God is Good.

Women do the lion’s share of invisible labor because society expects it. Even for the women who are deeply fulfilled in this, invisible labor is still work. Men also perform unpaid, invisible work. However, women perform the bulk of unpaid work enabling societies to function.

I believe this is related to the objectification of women’s bodies & the notion from patriarchy that women belong to men. Another hidden factor in these differing mental health rates is that women’s contributions are seen as less valuable than men’s.

If you make this spiritually filled weekend about politics &can’t let go of politics to embrace these spiritually filled messages I will mute you. I want ONE weekend where my feed isn’t packed with it —-politics isn’t everything. Christ should be our focus!!

Funny story: when we were kids, the middle sister told primary teachers that we had no food and were starving. That week the Bishop, RS pres and the ward missionary leader stopped by to see our food cabinets. We had food just no candy or sugar treats 🤣🤣🤣

Ready to stir the pot? I see no doctrinal problem with YW preparing and passing the sacrament. And it would not require us to “ordain women.” You shouldn’t be surprised if you see this change as the church, rightly, tries to involve the YW more. Here’s why… 🧵1/5

and can lead us to it. We can embrace our destiny with Him to guide us to it. But we have to be open to discovery and the JOURNEY. Yes our path can be confusing at times, but that is why we must follow Him and clarity and purpose will thrive within us!

@BlackBlessedLDS Everything we do is voluntary but doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences down the road. Missions for young men are viewed as part of their priesthood responsibilities. But Pres Monson did say that young men should only go if they have that true desire to serve

Yes being a woman is NOT easy. Its complex and our roles aren't nearly as clear as men's roles are. But do you wonder WHY that is? I truly believe there are purposes we haven't discovered yet and one of those is discovering it on our own.

I want to thank you all for such comforting messages for me the other day! Sometimes I get discouraged, but I am determined to continue in faith and goodness and hope one day I will be worthy of my eternal companion and won't have a bleak future but a bright eternal one!

With all this priesthood talk....I am thinking I need to do a reread. “The responsibilities, roles, and divinely endowed gifts of men and women differ in nature but not in quality, significance, or degree of importance, impact, or influence." -for all those who think we are less

Part of the trial of this life especially for women is FAITH. We have to trust in our Heavenly Father that He knows what He is doing where we are concerned. Do you think he doesn't get us? He happens to be married to a woman so I think he understands our divinity

I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s okay if you don’t want to drink caffeine along with not drinking coffee. We probably shouldn’t be drinking a ton of energy drinks anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ yep I said it lol

“ Apostasy can occur on two basic levels. Institutional or individual. Each of us must be aware of pride. This is a deadly spiritual disease. Consistently do the simple things and humble yourselves without being compelled to humble. “ - David A Bednar #GeneralConference

@OremUte Its actually not. There should be good sportsmanship between fans just as much as between players! Take the rivalry out of the equation. Any other team you would most likely admire for their efforts. If Utah was doing the same, I would applaud them for it!
