If an Argentinian had bought Bitcoin at the highest point of the "biggest bubble in history", in 2017, he would have been better off than leaving his money in his Argentinian bank account. So tell me again how Bitcoin is a horrible store of value.
Two possible readings here.
1) Despite the KYC measures, North Korea was able to open 86 accounts in Binance.
2) North Korea was able to hack 86 accounts on Binance.
Either way, the KYC was completely useless to stop the criminals.
The DPRK hacking group started to move their Axie Infinity stolen funds today. Part of it made to Binance, spread across over 86 accounts. $5.8M has been recovered. We done this many times for other projects in the past too. Stay

If you can't see why $SOL is massively overvalued then I can't help you.
If $ETH were as overvalued as $SOL is right now by P/E, it would be worth $348,000 per Ether!
You buying $SOL at $257 is like you buying $ETH at $348k

A market maker from a smaller futures exchange tried to attack

futures platform. NO ONE was liquidated, as we use the index price (not futures prices) for liquidations (our innovation). Only the attacker lost a bunch of money, and that was that.
Shorting $COIN here because ETFs are a cheaper way to hold BTC makes no sense:
1. Almost everyone is using Coinbase Custody.
2. We are not at the zero-sum stage, the ETFs will push adoption further growing the pie for everyone.
3. ETFs are investment, exchanges are casinos.

Ceteris paribus, after the halving $MARA will need a price of Bitcoin of ~$57K to get to the break even point for mining. With price <$34K they are better off turning off the miners.
If we add operating expenses (~20M per Q), the price of Bitcoin would need to be ~$70K.
@ATabarrok
Here is the correct response to the first question. I didn't change the question, just improved the prompt. I think that he is not being fair by not prompting it correctly.
After the last halving in 2016, the amount of coins lost or untouched for +5 year seems to be on par with the inflation rate ~650k. No causality between the two, just an interesting coincidence.
Lazszlo Hanec, the Bitcoin Pizza Guy, who spent 10k bitcoins buying 2 pizzas back in 2010, was also the first person to publicly start mining with a GPU. Satoshi even emailed him asking to hold back a little bit while the bitcoin user base increased.

A very interesting phenomenon in Mexico is that you can buy paper dollars well below the price of the FX markets, even after the huge spread that the money exchanges take.
But the Bank of Mexico is worried about Bitcoin being used for illicit purposes.

It matches your narrative, but it doesn't match reality. Look at the volume of individual exchanges with real volume, and you'll realize they paint a different picture.

Thanks for the clarification Tracy. I gave the conversation to various AIs, and this one was the cleanest version. As you point out some things were left out, but this was not intentional.

Central banks keep talking about CBDCs, but the killer product would be CBD Treasuries. Who wants Celsius or Blockfi when the assets in your wallet are appreciating?
Once one stablecoin starts offering intrinsic yield, all others we'll be force to do so too.
@FatManTerra
Hardcoding a minimum price is common practice among crypto exchanges. Removing the hardcoded minimum price when the price falls enough, is also the right thing to do.
There is no foul play here. If anything, Binance messed up by not removing the floor price sooner.

Cryptocurrencies are the first kind of money that can be fully owned by a sentient AI. It will take many decades before the law considers AIs legal persons, and it will take even longer to let them own assets or open bank accounts (see women).
Guess what money AIs will use.

So unless Bitcoin goes up, I can't see any bullish case for $MARA. But even if BTC goes up, it looks difficult for $MARA to beat outright holding $BTC. Unless they are able to start using free/ish electricity.

If the largest holders of a PoS blockchain turn evil, how do you fork away? You can't. At least not without confiscating the coins from those large holders, and thus eroding the integrity of the chain.
In PoW, the largest holders have no power.
PoW is antifragile, PoS isn't.
