Celebrating almost twelve years of Ninjago, featuring almost 230 characters from the show, books, comics, and short stories. I present to you...the Ultimate Ultimate Ninjago Poster. Thank you
@TommyAndreasen
for bringing us this far.
For better quality:
Wu and Bonzle! I was originally going to do a Gandalaria/Bonzle piece, but I liked this scene and it gives me an excuse to add Wu to the collection. Plus I really wanted to draw the Dragonstone Shrine, it was probably my favorite set out of the last wave.
This has been a long time coming! Here's the Prime Empire Poster after what, like 2 years? Anyway, I'm glad this is finally done, and I promise the next ones won't take as long.
Day 3 is Lloyd! His visions are pretty important to the story so far, so naturally I had to do something with that. I was originally going to have him with the Dragon Cores, but thought that the Source Dragons around him while he's looking up at the Blood Moon was more impactful.
Day 2 of my DR series, here's Arin and Riyu! For all of these I wanted to have something closely related to the character, and seeing how the Merge was viewed through Arin's perspective, what better place to put it than here?
#ninjago
#dragonsrising
Day 11 is Jay/Agent Walker! A bit of symbolism in this one; a reflection in broken glass can signify a loss of identity, plus backlit shattered glass kinda looks like lightning. I had a lot of fun with the composition and rendering on this one.
1) Hey all! After a 2 year training arc on a remote island, I'm finally back with some Ninjago art! I'm doing a series of splash art for all the characters from Dragons Rising, starting with my first, Sora.
Zane and Frohicky! I had a lot of fun with the background on this one, I'm starting to like doing these more structure based backgrounds. With all of these I wanted to include something that was integral to the character, and with these two my first thought was the portal door.
Since this era of Ninjago is over, I figured I would start sharing some of my personal lore that I've come up with over the past year. Starting with this map, that shows Ninjago right before the Stone War. Keep in mind none of this is officially canon, it's all my own lore.
Day 9 is Beatrix! Fun fact: the original composition was just her in the throne room (what's in the screen) and the hands in front of her. Then I realized that Beatrix would never be in the same room with the masses, and added a layer of separation with the screen.
Time for some villains! Day 8 is Lord Ras. This was probably the hardest one I've done linework-wise, with the perspective on the hammer and the intricacies of the gong. All worth it though.
After five years, I've finally updated my Ninjago Map! I want to thank
@TommyAndreasen
for helping me out with the locations and making them as accurate as possible in his eyes. This is in no way a canon map, but it's probably the most accurate (and current) we've gotten so far.
Day 7 is Geo and Cole! This one is one of my favorites; I love how Cole's golem form turned out. I took a few liberties with Geo's power visuals, I wanted to have some representation of Geo (purple) and Cole (orange) combining.
I guess I can finally reveal that I also had the honor of designing
@TommyAndreasen
and
@bragischutjr
for Crystalized! I'm so excited to finally see them animated!
Getting away from the fire theme, day 6 is Euphrasia! This was the first time I'd used CSP's perspective tool, and I really enjoyed it; you'll see that I start using it more in future drawings.
I'm back from Brickfair, and I came up with a bunch of composition ideas while I was there. First is Nokt and the Forbidden Five! I had the idea for this one for a while, and I'm glad I can finally show it!
#ninjago
#NinjagoDragonsRising
Next one is...Rox! I teased her in my Nokt piece but wanted to give her her own piece to shine. Since she's all about possession, I wanted to include her possessing someone, alongside all the masks she created and controls.

Here's a little part of the Prime Empire season poster, similar to what I did with the SotFS one. I wanted to go with sort of a comic cover style, and I think it turned out all right.
All of the SoG are done and together! I wanted to share this part in particular, since SoG is my favorite season *and* I already shared Harumi. They'll be more seamlessly integrated into the UNP, so don't worry.
I think we can all agree that Ninjago has a problem with introducing too many characters in the show that never make it to minifigure form. So after working on this project for a month or so, I'm finally ready to share 34 custom Ninjago figs I've made, all purist.
I'm not the only one who thinks the Ultra Combo Mech looks a lot like Gurren Lagann, right?
@Toothdominoes
really nailed the design of this mech, though that's not saying much, all of his mechs are fantastic. Anyway, I couldn't get that idea out of my head, so here we are!
Hey everyone, I'm not dead despite my lack of posts. I've been drawing, I just haven't been posting as much of it lately. Anyway, here's the March of the Oni poster I've been working on intermittently since it came out. I'm excited for S11!
Hey guys, long time no see! I've started drawing again, so here are some things that I've been working on! These four are meant to tell the story of the FSM and the creation of Ninjago. The last image features some of my original characters, the First Elemental Masters!
I did a speedpaint of Cole for tomorrow's podcast episode, which is fitting considering what the episode is about. I also updated Skull Sorcerer's mask to be more show accurate.
While the way this was revealed isn't ideal, I'm happy to finally be able to talk about it. I want to thank Ryan Pears and the lovely people over at
@WildBrainHQ
for giving me the opportunity to design myself,
@Marvellous_Jan
,
@Ninja_Whip
, and
@privateduckcall
for Ninjago 2022!
I've seen a lot of artwork of the ninjas' avatar forms, but their digisuits are also cool and don't see a lot of love. I see the blue nodes as sort of a motion tracking harness to allow them to move in game. I'm working on the rest of these currently.
The Hunted poster is done, and I think it's the biggest one yet! And you may be wondering, "where is the whole First Realm part?" Well, this is only the first half of the Hunted posters. I'm making two, one for each Realm.
Three hours later, and I have a new addition to the UNP! I think the stream went pretty well. Lots of laughs, lots of memes. I'd certainly like to do this again.
I drew
@speedythecat7
's OC, Rain, as part of a trade deal we came up with. Speedy did a really good job coming up with Rain's design, and I had a lot of fun drawing her!
I know that I said that I would do the SotFS poster after the season is over, but I couldn't help myself. This is just a section of the poster that's gonna go down the middle, so I isolated it and made it into it's own thing.
That last stream was crazy!
@TommyAndreasen
joined, which was the highlight of my day! And then the stream got taken down due to copyright, so that was fun. But in the end, I finished Nadakhan!
Third poster is Tournament of Elements! All the Elemental Masters (plus a few more) are on a wheel, with Chen at the center of everything. Also, for those who will probably ask, Nya is red in this because she currently is Samurai X, not the master of water.
Here's the result of today's art stream! Thank you to everyone who joined. I really like to do these, and I'll try to do more in the future. (Also, Tom Hardy for the Mechanic when?)
I finished the Rise of the Snakes Poster! Tbh, I didn't really have a plan for this one. I did at first, but I had to scrap it because of the dimension limitations. All the same, I think it turned out nicely.
Here's Lilly minifigurized! I didn't give her the locket since it would make everything kind of cluttered with the weird proportions of minifigs, but we could say this was after she gave it away.
Here are the Serpentine War Elemental Masters, one of my favorite bits of lore from the show! In order, there's young Morro, Gravity, Light, Shadow, Ray and Maya, Wu, Garmadon, Ice, Earth, Lightning, Smoke, and Acronix and Krux.
It's here!!! Thank you to
@LEGO_Group
for sending me a signed copy of the Gardens! And a couple of signed posters, which my dad was really happy about. After it came I may have gone out and gotten the rest of the wave, so the next few days are gonna be really busy for me!
And here they all are! There's enough here to make at least 2 CMF series, with 17 each. Hopefully one day LEGO makes some (or all) of these officially! If you have any questions about where specific parts came from, I'd be happy to help.
Here's a little poster I made for season 9, Hunted. I don't know if Hunted is the name of the season, or the first episode, or the name of the trailer, but whatever. I drew it anyway.
I'm done with Rebooted! I went through a few drafts of this one, the first one incorporating Borg Tower, but eventually decided to base it around the Borg Logo instead. My next season will probably be Skybound, and I have a definitive idea for the Pilot as well!
Here's the result of the absolute insanity that was today's stream. Seriously, they get more and more chaotic with each one. Remember, the streams are all recorded and put on Youtube, so you can go and watch them if you missed out!
Avatars Kai, Jay, and Lloyd. Honestly, I wish the rest of the ninja got the same treatment that these guys did. Unless they do, and the minifigures we got are just avatars other people are using. After episode 4, it wouldn't surprise me.
I finally updated the Ultimate Ninjago Poster to feature the two recent seasons, Hands of Time and Sons of Garmadon. For a higher resolution, I also have this on my Deviantart page:
I'm finished with the Hunted Gold poster, which means that I've finally drawn a poster for every season (so far)! I also decided to include the other Hunted poster here since they're part of the same season.
And here are all 12 season posters all back to back! It's hard to believe that I've been working on these for almost six months! This was such a huge project, but I'm done (for now).
Here's the (main) result of today's stream! Honestly I didn't have a plan for this stream, as usually I like to draw the main villain on stream then finish off the rest on my own, but Faith is a relatively important character, so why not? Thanks to everyone who joined!
Here's the Pilot poster, the one that started it all. I used all the classic poses from the official art, and I think this is the first time I've ever drawn the ninja with their hoods digitally. Next up should be the Serpentine Poster.
I'm done with Skybound! I almost accidentally ruined it by merging all the layers, but I got it all settled in the end. I wanted to do something different, so instead of having the ninja be the main focus I used Jay's B-team instead.
Here are the results of the last two streams. There's a huge difference in quality with some of these... Thanks to
@Cosmic202
and
@JacksonKrizen
for joining, and to
@Marvellous_Jan
for making a surprise appearance!
Serpentine! There'll probably be more, but here's Skales and Pythor in their King's garb. And Skales Jr is there, because I need a Serpentine with legs to be able to fit into a mech.
Here's the product of the 4 hour livestream I did with Keep the Piece/
@thettvchannel
! I had a great time, and I hope everyone listening did too. I can't wait to do more of these in the future!
And to round it out, here's Wu and Garmadon, both as children and in their Spinjitzu Brothers attire. Also SB Garmadon's hair is super hard to find too, and I basically had to buy the only set that it came in.
