Ladies and gentlemen, after 4 harrowing days, I'm happy to announce that my mom is out of the ICU. Still in the hospital, but no longer on life support. She will continue to stay as she continues to recover. Don't know how until she can come home. But for now, she's ok.
The amount of people that honestly, legitimately believe that Shohei Ohtani is degenerate gambler and has been betting on baseball is hilarious. Like, they don't actually believe that, do they?
The Dodgers really had Clayton Kershaw pitching with a torn ligament in his shoulder, Tony Gonsolin pitching with a torn UCL, and David Peralta playing with a torn ligament in his left arm. Meanwhile, healthy young studs like Ryan Pepiot never saw the field in the playoffs.

I'm a Dodger fan, and I would love to see the Pirates make a run at the Postseason. PNC is a gorgeous ballpark. We need to see some important games played at that stadium.
Some important news to share: My dad underwent successful prostate surgery at the VA hospital in West LA. He had been diagnosed with prostate cancer over 3 months ago and had trouble getting a surgery scheduled. But he finally had it today and is starting his recovery.
While this is not the Mother's Day celebration I wanted to have, at least we don't have to do it at the hospital. She's out, and now in a nursing facility for a few days. I'm so grateful that she's here and I can still celebrate with her. Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you.
An enormous win for the Dodgers. Down to their last out, the Dodgers get off the matt and steal a series from the Padres. Can't wait to do this again next weekend.
What the?? Ippei asked Shohei to go along with it?????? The fucking audacity of this guy. I can only imagine the look on Ohtani's face when Ippei said this.
Best part of this road trip: the Dodgers were not only able to hit lefties, they hit lefties that have given them trouble in the past. Snell, Lauer, and Miley. They beat them all.
@shoheisaveus
Will translated for Kenta Maeda and did a great job. We know each other from college and graduated there. I know Will will be a great translator for Ohtani.
This is the last time we have to deal with Yohan Ramirez. There's no way he's on the roster tomorrow. At least that's what a competent organization would do.
Tonight is an important for Tyler Glasnow. Not just for the Dodgers, but for himself. He was awful in San Francisco last Saturday, and hasn't been as sharp since May 16th. The Dodgers need him to be effective, give them some length, and be the ace they traded for.
Criticism of Dave Roberts aside, how is he not nominated for NL Manager of the Year? Roberts dragged the Dodgers to 100 wins with a decimated pitching staff.
Happy New Year from my mother and I! We hope each and all of you have a wonderful 2024, and we hope to spend time with many of you this year. Have a fantastic year everybody!

Today was a good day for my mom. They said again that tomorrow will be a big day. But big steps were taken today. Still a ways to go, but feeling a lot more optimistic now.
Here just in time. Got to meet and got my picture with Byron Scott. Even though he gave me shit for being a Clipper fan, he does have the Clippers beating Dallas (if Kawhi plays).
@shoheisaveus
They're not homers and try to be objective while not kissing everyone's ass. Unlike other announcers, they're willing to tell it like it is and not lie to the fans. In time, you'll come to appreciate it.
So I just got suspended from my Dodger Facebook group because presumed Urias guilty was he's supposedly still "innocent."
I might be done with that group.
Some Padres players believed they couldn't hold Manny Machado accountable this season: "To ask a Padres player why no one could confront Machado on these matters is to be looked at as if you have six heads"

Regardless of what Ohtani decides, the Dodgers better have a contingency plan in place. You need to have Snell and/or Yamamoto in place, you need to bring Martinez back, and you need to get another outfielder. Just because you didn't get Ohtani doesn't mean the offseason is over.
So here is my situation: My mom is currently in the ICU at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena. At one point, her heart completely stopped for about 20-30 minutes. When she arrived, she was in very grave condition. She's close to semi-stable condition, but still has a long way to go.
"It's the most important signing in Dodgers history."
@BenVerlander
breaks down the impact that the Shohei Ohtani-Dodgers deal will have on this season and beyond.
Just got word that my mom has made some substantial progress overnight. Still in the ICU. I don't have that many details at the moment, but it appears she is taking steps in the right direction. She's currently with family and freinds visiting her. Will be at the hospital soon.

If Kershaw was going to pitch for Texas, he would've done it by now. He's not pitching for anyone not named the Dodgers. He will retire a lifelong Dodger.
Once again Dodger haters, it's not the Dodgers fault that your owner refuses to spend money. Take it up with your owner. They could easily do what the Dodgers are doing. They just chose not to
Folks, for anyone that doesn't know, yes I happen to root for the Dodgers and the 49ers. I've lived in both LA and SF in my life. And I've gotten a lot of shit about it my life. And guess what? I don't care. So if you to have a problem with this, kindly Fuck Off, and Get Out!
A year ago today, I was minutes, possibly seconds, away from suffering an absolutely horrible tragedy with my mother. Thankfully, she was able to pull through, and she's in better health than she's ever been in her life. So grateful to have survived that harrowing experience.
For those that have reached out to me, I thank you and appreciate you very much. I can't tell you how much this means to me. I will let you know the situation when I know more. For now, I'm just going to relax for the rest of the night and try not to stress out.
I think Yamamoto will eventually be the ace by season's end. But I'm okay with this. Gives Glasnow a chance to establish himself with Yamamoto waiting in the wings.
We'll see what contract Blake Snell gets. But it's safe to say Scott Boras has failed massively this offseason. It was rumored that Bellinger wanted $200 million. He got nowhere near that. The owners have had enough of Boras, and it's about time.
I've been through a lot with my mother's situation in the last week. And that's with her alive. I can't imagine what Clayton Kershaw must be going through. Losing a parent has to be one of the hardest things anyone can handle. Hope Dodger fans give Kershaw an ovation.
