Regarding the retirement of #Bucs guard Ali Marpet. His 2022 cap number was set to be $12.775M. Retirement processed right now saves $5.625M with $7.15M in dead cap. If processed after 6/1 Bucs can push $4.375M of dead cap to 2023 and save $10M this year.

I firmly believe Kancey is going to be a dude, but talk about setting him up for success. JTS as the 2 shade, Vita lined up as a 5, Kancey as a wide 7 while Shaq is ISO'd to the offenses left. JTS drags the C towards Shaq giving the WAO hole for Kancey to loop through.

Two biggest things #Bucs fans should take away from the Baker deal. 1. They secure him for 2024 on a (most likely) low cap hit. 2. The team CAN get out of the deal for relatively little dead cap after 2025 season. That's about as good as it can get. Great deal for both sides.

Bucs have two of the top 15 defenders in the NFL through week two in EPA when targeted. Christian Izien (3rd ovr) has allowed -11.7 epa on eight targets across 56 coverage reps. Zyon McCollum (15th ovr) has allowed -7.9 epa on six targets across 64 coverage reps.

Tykee Smith was the #1 safety on my board. Played the Star position at GA. Lots of versatility, plays really well near the line of scrimmage. Blitzes well from the slot. He was born to play in a Todd Bowles DEF. Don't be surprised if he wins the starting slot role out of camp.

#Bucs are running way more gap recently (to their benefit), but if they want 2 keep the MZ element Tucker is the back best suited for that scheme. Reads first two defenders with helmets on outside of their respective blocks and cuts back. But that second cut makes the run.

1/2 Huge win 4 Bucs. Best performance by OFF all year. Canales' concepts were hitting all day. Baker executed the offense at another level. Running game was complimentary and closed the game out big. This is the potential @LedyardNFLDraft and I have been talking about 4 weeks.
