We are at 16bit color now! Emulation and x86 PC games are now possible. This is all running LOCALLY on Quest 3.

Today marks the 4th day where I replaced my PC monitor entirely and have used the Quest Pro solely for work and entertainment. I don't miss my monitor's capabilities and resolution perse, but only the visual quality.
I'm incredibly excited for the future of spatial. 🥽🕺
bad chess move on Zuck's end, I really don't think comparing both headsets is a great idea. Especially when at that high a level, Mark knows AVP is a different product category. I would hold that energy for Google/Samsung, as they will be REALLY competing directly with meta.
I burst into tears while seeing Tim Cook's AVP Vanity Fair cover. Seeing an executive of this level wearing a headset in a home office environment is like experiencing manifestation unfold in real time of ones hopes and dreams of what a professional look like in our future.
I’m so happy with how this turned out! I converted some old Analog racing sims into modern PCVR simulators. Running Project Cars PRO. 🚀🚀🚀

You are trying incredibly hard to justify your association with bigotry. As a declining “fan” of your work but still is giving you the “benefit of doubt “, I’d like to instead see your response efforts focus in talking investing and supporting AI / XR companies that don’t
Lesson Learned Today:
Virtual Reality needs more inclusion straight up, The fact there was an hour long twitter "debate" about the objectification of Virtual Women. Without any real Women representation in the convo is the most gut wrenching thing I've ever been involved in.
I really love Virtual Reality 🥽🤘!
PS - This is only a fraction of the collection. I just don't keep them in shiny glass cases 😅! If I want to use or need an older VR HMD, I just quickly build it from the spare parts I own lol...
I can’t wait until Location Based Augmented Reality becomes a mainstream thing. There’s gonna be so many crazy new and fun experiences, I get teary eyed just imagining. 🥲
"No one wants to sit down for VR."
"This isn't authentic VR"
"2D to VR conversion will never be a thing."
"Why would anyone want a game in VR that wasn't originally made for VR?"
Meta should just push to release an end of life firmware with a bootloader unlock option and have sidequest/applab as the main store option.
Imagine what devs in low income markets will cook up ❤️❤️❤️
I firmly believed using a VR headset without controllers was a non-starter, but after 200 hours with Apple Vision Pro, I see I was wrong.
I can easily see younger generations being able to type and game with eye-tracking and hand tracking, as fast as the cameras can follow.
There was a period where I questioned my life goals because I felt that I was just systematically not designed to fit in the "tech bro" cliques.. Especially in the VR space.
Lately it's what I value the most about myself. I don't need ya, I'm carving out the path regardless 🤙
I, for one, can’t wait for the retired ‘veterans’ of the VR industries past, who disdain everything new and innovative, to fully embrace their prehistoric-ness and become extinct from our space. They add nothing new to the space except negativity; your expertise has expired. 🦖🦕

It got out of hand. As a society we have a healthy obsession pondering why we are naturally mean spirited, to the point we created guides on how to not become a bully.. consequently allowing us to also learn how to be an efficient one also.
We got us a company vehicle to celebrate our relocation to California. 🚀🥽 I am still absolutely amazed of all the amazing opportunities Virtual Reality has really opened up for me! --- and I'm only JUST getting started. 😏

Proud of the research Apple's team is working on—excited to get an early look at some of the technologies that will underpin the metaverse (we work on several prototype headsets to prove out concepts, this is one of them.
VR Gamers:
VR pucks are the only way to achieve portable PCVR graphics that can rival a gaming laptop or desktop. If you want to experience Half-Life: Alyx on a portable VR headset, this is the way to do it.
Plus, the cable will be thin and rest on your back anyway. 🥽
I'm getting 1200 Mbps on PCVR wirelessly finally on Quest PRO 😍😍😭😭😭!! I can't wait for this update to go public for everyone! What a delight for PCVR users ! 🥽📶🚀

I think simplifying it down to just “AI” creates a lot of conversational noise and unnecessary arguments. But you are 100% we will see advancements in quality assured multitasking and amplification of resource tools giving one developer the capabilities of a 3-5 person team.

I don’t care about followers nor to make a billion by tomorrow; leaders care about something bigger than that. I care about making an impact and difference in my community, Influencers almost never go on to be leaders, yet leaders always result in being influential.
Woke up today wondering who has the rights to 'REBOOT' with the sole purpose to ask them "WHY NO VR GAME YET?!?!" . It's been quite the rabbit hole! lol. The show raised me and molded me to who I am today--to the point my company is called REBOOT IMAGINE. 🥽🚀
the trail went
UEVR is proof old school VR developers don't understand that there's no such thing as a 'VR developer' anymore; instead, there just game developers who think in human-scale 3D design. This organically means that when their content is accessed in VR, it just works near perfectly.

fact is vision pro IS superior to the Quest 3 in terms of HARDWARE/Software performance design and potentials (future proof).
That in no way means Quest 3 is bad, or something to scoff at.. The FACT is Quest 3 is the best dollar per value headset in market at this moment.
🎉🥳🎊 it’s working! You can now play VR games while you wait for your flight at the at the Indianapolis airport!! 🥽✈️
What an absolutely fun system, I can’t wait to see more of these in the wild! 🧑🏾🔧
The 1996 Sony Glasstron Personal LCD monitor PLM-50 enabled the user to enjoy video equivalent to that of a 52-inch screen. It was equipped with a see-through function in which the transparency of the liquid crystal shutters could be changed electrically.
Another day, another VR headset shipment being sent out just in time for the new school curriculum.
The orders are increasing, and we are here to ensure the demand is met.

I woke up from a dream where I was wearing wireless SteamVR trackable AR glasses, and this sparked a lot of crazier ideas, like having an NVIDIA CloudXR client running on an Android based processing puck to handle AR/VR streaming.
Not bad for a Sunday project.
one of my goals is to establish a spatial computing/XR incubator, similar to what 'AR House' accomplished, but with a community of tinkerers and gadget makers. I envision it having a storefront to showcase cutting-edge tech/experience to consumers while fostering collaborations
I have grown in my career path exponentially in the past year. My Secret:
I quit my day job and started my own business.
I'm so glad I didn't give up on Virtual Reality. 🚀🚀🚀
The VR enthusiasts are proving Apple right in real time why a rebrand to "Spatial Computing" is important.
Mentioning "VR" immediately derails conversation to "How bad VR used to be" and "How great VR is now" instead of staying on focus: Adoption and Purchase of devices.
I made bank in high school selling operating systems to my teachers, also fixed their computers in exchange of their AD passwords.
I would use it to host games in our libraries network.
Unreal Tournament, OG DOTA and Tribes were the rotation.
Apple Vision Pro is the first all-in-one headset that truly reciprocates the level of care and usage I invest in newer VR headsets.
I’m wondering when the “honeymoon phase” ends but as of right now, I’m in LOVE with this headset. The bar in XR was set incredibly high by Apple.
what if I told you that dynamic occlusion API will lead to passthrough correcting optimizations, essentially making the "warping effect" you see currently in Mixed Reality passthrough disappear.
Quest 3 can 'theoretically' do this, but at cost of performance, visuals, general stability and CPU likely burning out because of the limited cooling.
Software comes and goes, but hardware is KING.
