I love my wife. She just went to Sam’s Club and saw a man dressed in a red dress and red stilettos. She told me that she just stared at him until he noticed, so that he knows that he is not normal or accepted. I love her. This is good. They should not be “proud” but ashamed.

Went to watch my beloved Chelsea play in London, somehow I couldn’t because Russia invaded Ukraine. Went to Church met her for the first time, was invited back for lunch. Some dispys were saying this invasion was prophesied, debated them! she was impressed & we got married.

I’ve been looking into and reading about U.S. history again. I am reminded how much I love my country and heritage. Our nation is so cool. I miss what America was, flaws and all. There was a thick Christian culture that had a lot of potential to continue to grow and reform.

@Joseph389079786 I have, and that’s not the case. Noah and his family were baptized and then covenanted with (1 Peter 3:20-21) and Israel was baptized in the Red Sea (1 Cor 10:2). This was not a decision made flippantly.

To say “God intervened” is to continue to propagate the small view of God that dominates our Christian culture. I understand the sentiment, but it isn’t helpful. It’s like saying that the author intervened in the story. That’s true if he’s just another character.

Just finished this quick read. Dabney destroys public education. He calls Education “the nurture and development of the whole man for his proper end.” He says that educational responsibility rests not on State, and not on Church (mainly aimed at Rome with that), but on Parents.

@jenjo_1968 I would say that believe and be baptized is the main charge mostly because the New Testament narratives are showing us new converts, not generations of Christians. Where we do see generations, (Acts 2:38-39), the call to repent and be baptized is followed up with children.

In 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 Paul says long hair on men is a disgrace, because of nature (creation). In 1 Timothy 2:11-15, Paul says women can’t teach men (can’t be elders) because of creation (nature). Why do some still think it’s okay for men to have long hair?

So true king. I think it’s easy to forget that Christ’s reign also means that nothing can threaten Him. We should be concerned with the problems we see, but for something to truly be considered, a threat means that it can actually stand against God. Nothing can oppose God.

@xianNDS Yeah I honestly came around to the ecclesiology first. Though, the CREC has a good mix of Presbyterian and local autonomy, which I think is best. The Presbytery still has authority to keep the pastor accountable but only the local elders can remove another pastor/elder.
