Day 3: Enjoyed fresh fruit this morning. One thing I like about El Salvador is the ability to go from modern (boring) suburb to "classic Latin American feeling" (not boring) urban area in a quick amount of time. I'll elaborate more soon, but it's a balance I find refreshing.

I used to say you could be "free" by ditching your 9-5 and surrendering to the life of a nomad. It really teaches you to get humble and trust in yourself. But then I had kids, and moved into an off-grid tiny house. Now I recognize that freedom exists only in the mind.

Day 15 in El Salvador.. we spent a great day at Lago Coatepeque. Lots of dancing, water play, and good cheer. One thing I love about this country is its attention to children. Like the beaches, many of the restaurants on the lake also have swimming pools for kids.
