imagine disqualifying someone for something so minor it wasn't even worth starting a trial for. i really hope avrotros sues the ebu, withdraws next year, and demands a public apology cause this is so utterly vile.
the way they just started the 6 o clock news 😭''actually nobody understood anything of this. millions of eurovision viewers didn't, and especially he himself didn't. cause what did joost klein do wrong? well.. apparently nothing. cause they stopped the investigation.''

by the way at some point someone in the middle of the crowd needed first aid and joost immediately stopped the show. i know this might be such a small thing but i’ve been to so many shows where artists didn’t do that and it says so much about how good his character really is.
i just can't wrap my head around the thought that such an important broadcaster is being treated like absolute garbage. like mind you, after the big 5 avrotros is one of the biggest investors in eurovison and they hosted one of the best editions of the contest during COVID.
🚨 EBU RESPONSE
"This was an investigation into whether a criminal act was committed and not whether Mr Klein behaved inappropriately and breached ESC rules and procedures. This new development therefore does not have any impact on our decision which we stand by completely."

would anyone be interested in a translation of the interview the avrotros director did after joost was disqualified? i feel like it perfectly describes how the ebu treated them like trash from the very beginning and never took anything they proposed into consideration.
since i'm seeing a lot of misinformation and twisting of words being spread, even by big eurovision accounts, i made a little timeline of what's been said in the past couple of days.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE
In new statements, the EBU directly denies that agreements not to film Joost Klein existed - but AVROTROS say evidence of these was sent to the EBU with no response.

/gen question but do you guys think joost saying 'old videos' refers to deleted videos that people are digging up from the internet archive or any older videos like from his youtuber era cause i'm kind of unsure about if i should still sub these now.
little side note: 'een rare vogel' which literally translates to 'a strange bird' is usually used to describe a weird person or someone who's different from the rest.
i'm still watching that 4 hour podcast lol so far all i've learned is his celeb crush is angela merkel, he still doesn't have his drivers license (same) and his favorite chips flavors are cheese union and patatje joppie (also same) 🫡

also the 'she came to malmö to do her work at a special place where music, inclusion and diversity are the main focus' as if she wasn't aware of trans flags being banned and artists being harassed backstage for their political views. i have to laugh.
