@Culture_Crit St. Petersburg is the best metropolitan city I’ve ever been to. The subways still look like this, with murals and amazing decor. No graffiti in sight and the law is actually enforced. Needless to say visiting NYC is always a depressing experience.

@coltybrah McAfee agreed to be our “cult” leader for some bs we were doing at DEFCON once. I then drove with him and 2 other guys on the Las Vegas strip to Hustler gentleman’s club, which he had rented out for a private party. One of the funnest nights of my life was his usual Tuesday.

Finally started coding the Fitness app I've had in mind for @_buildspace @_nightsweekends and of course Camp. Figured out how to hit an external API and display the data into an unstructured exercise library. Building iOS apps with ChatGPT is possible but be prepared for pain.

I used to have an extensive productivity system with Notion dbs and a ton of KPIs I was tracking. Now I just use sticky notes and stick to one work goal per day, one learning goal per day, and one business goal per day. Never been happier or more productive.

Back in the US after hiking the Himalayas. In Nepal for a total of 3 weeks. My porter carried 100 lbs of gear (mine and others') up a grueling hike to 5,000 meters. Hard work, for only $20/day. I feel extremely privileged and grateful to work from anywhere with my laptop.

The hardest thing for me to do is video. So I’m doing a video a day for next 30 days to see what it’s like to shoot, publish, and promote. My first one took me 20 takes and then I cleaned it up a bit. Took 2.5 hours for a 1 min video 😭

Biggest lessons learned from 2 weeks at Camp: 👉 You NEED to spend more time alone to synthesize inputs 👉 You can work around like-minded people to offset the loneliness if everyone is also grinding 👉 You can work 14 hours a day and not feel tired in the right environment

Crazy how much free time you have when you’re single and cut out anime/ YouTube/ TV, and chill on the traveling. I swapped the media consumption for going out to dance 3-4x per week and I still have time and energy for everything else I want to do. Why didn’t I do this sooner?

With the new @Superwall editor I implemented a fairly complicated paywall that supports tabs (so we can mimic segmented picker controls) and light/ dark mode. This is done with in-editor custom variables that track state. Crazy multi-page paywall templates incoming 👀

I used to have an extensive morning productivity system. I'm talking wake up at 4:30am and do my rituals. Took me 2 hours every morning. Results? Nothing significant. Now I just get up, drink some water/ espresso, and get to work. Sooo much more productive.

@launchschool The tight-knit community has been super helpful in helping students help themselves. There's a lot of communities out there that teach you WHAT to think, but LaunchSchool is the only one I've found that teaches you HOW to think.

Added some categories to my Tasks app. Kodeco really turned up the difficulty for this week's homework. Github Copilot gave me some really bad results when I got stuck. Cursor was a LOT better, but surprisingly I was able to code 95% of this app without any AI help 🤯

Built a really nice looking light mode paywall for @templyvideo today. Their team did an amazing job in the design. It wasn't _too_ bad implementing it in Superwall 1:1 but showing & hiding elements with custom JavaScript is not very user friendly. How should we do this better?

My domino habit is going to the gym every day. Yes every day. There is no such thing as overtraining for non/Olympic athletes. As long as I keep that habit in check everything else falls into place. I’m convinced we’d have a much more disciplined society if everyone worked out.

@svpino Macbook with Roost stand, iPad, MX Master 3s, and Magic keyboard are all I need to be productive wherever I need to. Peripherals barely need any charging and fit snugly in my travel backpack along with any other tech.

Had lunch today with a guy that lives 2 min from me and makes millions/ month off his apps (pic is main). Biggest takeaway from conversation: He's just a regular dude that saw a possibility (friend making $10K/day) and went for it. Built a bunch of shitty stuff until one stuck.
