MN's 1,780 townships will share $107 million in federal stimulus under the American Rescue Plan. Passed w/o a single GOP vote in House or Senate, the money will go mostly to rural townships that voted GOP. Nearly 300 townships will get $100K or more.

The atmosphere is completely different from recent Brooklyn Center protests. There are no police or Guard in sight. No direct confrontation with authority. Crowd is chanting steady call-and-response but at least in my view, there's no tension in the air.

Thought on remote work: Maybe it's the new model. But part of the reason it works now is, people are relying on connections they've built over years. Like a bear that lives the winter off stored fat. Those connections will fray; new ones won't be built. How does that play out?

The City Council in Murdock did not cover itself in glory tonight. Not because they voted to allow a white supremacist church in -- not my job to say. But they held a zoom meeting, with the camera off, then voted and refused to say who voted yea or nay.

I have a story coming Sunday on Wadena, one of the nation's COVID hot spots. I talked to about 20 people. Every single one of them either had COVID themselves or knew someone who did. 7 knew someone who died of it.
