Canadians: reject this US-style division and antagonism. We have differences in politics & governance. But we don't demonize our opposition and divide our nation.
We work together to fix problems. We solve them together. We win together.

that's a lie, and you know it
fixing racial injustice requires change. if you experience that change as racial tension, then perhaps you're a beneficiary of that injustice
Seriously Seattle!?!
Kraken?
Kraken?
That is a horrible name for an ice hockey team ... almost as bad as "Mighty Ducks" was for Anaheim. (It was since changed to just "Ducks.")
Seattle Sockeye would have been MUCH better ...
Kraken would work for eSports, not the NHL.

So TechFirst with John Koetsier is in the top 100 podcasts for tech news in the U.S!
Hitting the top 100 is not a HUGE accomplishment (top 10 here we come?!?) but I'm happy about it. 60 episodes or so in, and there's definite progress.
Thanks everyone here for your support!
Be a data omnivore. Don’t get trapped in a reality bubble. Don’t assume official narratives are correct. Don’t assume fringe accounts are right. Know that reality is a many-sided coin. Understand that to the immature and unsophisticated, their side of the coin is all that exists.
Ouch ouch ouch ouch ....
Anyone can make a mistake ... but this one was made in front of tens of millions. Yes, $500M divided by 327 million people is about $1.59 per American.
So they were off by a factor about 625,000.
I repeat ... ouch.
The virus crisis is happening because there is a critical deficit of quantitative reasoning in our media & political class.
Here, Brian Williams of MSNBC and Mara Gay of the NYT Editorial Board divide $500M into 327M to get...$1M?
OK. I am trying something new on Twitter.
I am going to post a LOT less than I used to. I am going to focus on quality instead of quantity. And I am going to focus on engagement and conversation, not broadcasting.
I think the Twitter algorithm has changed to favor this.
Agree?
Where have I heard "no taxation without representation,"

Governments & courts need term limits. It's insane to have 70 and 80 year old people making laws that they will not live to see the impact of in a world using technology they cannot possible understand.
@adryenn
There is no way we can just automatically believe anyone who claims something.
We definitely need to take accusations seriously, and not punish people who stand up and make them. But we cannot let anyone and everyone's reputation be destroyed without some level of certainty.
According to a new study, we're vastly under-reporting Covid-19 deaths.
"Our analysis estimates ... the total number of COVID-19 deaths was 6.93 million, a figure that is more than two times higher than the reported number of deaths of 3.24 million."

What happens when coronavirus is over and we've learned …
We don’t need to ...
- go to a gym to get fit
- go to a school to learn
- go to an office to work
- go to the theatre to see a new movie.
Lots is going to change.
