A new study of Batnaya, a town in the Nineveh Plains, found that 688 people have so far returned, accrd to @ShlamaF . Located north of Mosul, it was home to ~5,000 before 2014 when it was overtook by ISIS. In 2019, 6 families returned. Since then, people have steadily rallied home
