7 years ago today, YCombinator rejected us. I’ll never forget that day. It was the beginning of my de-coupling from institutional VC. It hasn’t been easy, but 200+ cities, co-founder exit, partnerships w/ major brands, lead investor passing away suddenly, pandemic & still at it.
