Promotional ad for "This Land" that was featured on JibJab's website in late 2004. However, this sports a very unique logo, as well as a different John Kerry head.
Thank you all for over 1K followers! It's crazy how I got this much super quickly, but make sure to look out for more interesting JibJab facts from me in the future!
Did You Know? Jacques Chirac, the former president of France, who appears in "Second Term", makes a quick cameo on the newspaper scene in the 2-0-5 Year In Review?
@_Yankee_07
Oooh, I've been interested in this for a while, but I never really got the chance to talk about it. Would you mind showing me what's actually on the DVD itself? (the inside, the disc, and the menus and what else is on there)
This is so awesome! Official JibJab pins from most likely 2004 seem to have been very obscure... until this moment when the user I'm quoting seems to own some of them! I wonder what other JibJab merch is out there that has yet to be seen.....
Did You Know? In the video version of this clip in "Second Term" (right), the "Kerry Edwards" sign in the background is a seperate object from the background, unlike the SWF version (left), where it is part of the background.
Hey, sorry if I haven't tweeted in a while, I ran out of ideas for this account. To make up for it, here are some background images used in "This Land"! Maybe you can make something funny with them!
Today's JibJab Star: Al Gore!
Al Gore made his first appearance in the "Capitol ILL" animation/game as a main character, depicted as a hobo in "Good To Be In DC!", makes a cameo in "This Land", and has two quick appearances in "Second Term".
Did You Know? In 2009, the JibJab brothers, Gregg and Evan Spiridellis met president Barack Obama? They also got to show him their new animation at the time, "He's Barack Obama"!
Did You Know? The video "What We Call The News" seems to re-use assets from the "2-0-5 Year in Review?" It's a bit hard to tell due to the quality, but it's obvious that these assets are the same.
A "Second Term" poster you could buy for $19.99 on the JibJab website in 2005, it states that there is a raw HD version of this image on the specific page where you could've bought this. However, that image hasn't been archived in the Wayback Machine, making it lost media.
Today's JibJab Star: Bill Clinton!
Bill Clinton appeared in the first ever JibJab animation, "Bubba's Baked Brownies", then as a side character in "Capitol Ill", then appeared in "This Land" and some other videos, with his final appearance being in "Time for Some Campaignin' ".
Official JibJab wallpapers you could buy on the JibJab store for $0.99 each in 2004. However, these are lost media and only a promotional image, preview images, and broken/non-archived pages remain.
Did You Know? Former president Ronald Reagan makes a quick cameo at the end of "This Land"! He's all the way on the right in the bushes, and only appears for a couple seconds. Reagan died over a month before the iconic political animation came out.
Sorry if I've been inactive recently, I ran out of ideas, (again) but check out the new YouTube channel! Big things are coming up! 😉 And a quick shoutout to Gregg Spiridellis for following me, let this be a hint... 👀
Did You Know? There was an obscure game released around 2001 simply titled, "Bush Dance"? The game itself is mostly just George W. Bush dancing, and all you can do is drag him around and click on him to dance differently.
DM me if you want to me to send you the game!
Official DVD packaging for the exclusive showing of "He's Barack Obama" at the 2009 Radio and Television Correspondents Dinner that was posted on the JibJab blog.
Do you have any cool JibJab facts or other stuff you would like for me to share to the world? If so, you can send me a DM of what you want me to post, but you must have an image/video or sometimes a link if required. You can also decide if you want me to credit you or not.
Well well well, it seems like the scratch vocals for "Time For Some Campaignin'" decided to pop up! Listen to the iconic Spiridellis brothers beautifully singing this iconic song! Trust us, they're pretty darn good at it.
So, about that "hint" from the last tweet... Well, a user who wants me to refer to them as "Golem" has actually recieved DEMO audios and videos of all the Year in Review videos from Gregg Spiridellis himself! Check them out on the channel!
Raw, high quality images used in "Time for Some Campaignin' " that were posted on the JibJab blog in 2008, you can find even more images in the Google Drive linked below!
Guess what? Today marks the 20th Anniversary for It's Good to Be in D.C.! So to celebrate, we uploaded the HQ audio of that animation to YouTube taken from the DVD rip! For some reason the guy I work with didn't want to upload the rips themselves.
It's also worth noting that these were taken off the JibJab store in around late 2004, and the JibJab store shut down a couple years later due to unknown reasons.
Well, look what it is! It's the scratch vocals for the 2007 video, "What We Call The News!" It's mostly the same, but you'll find some differences. Oh, and this isn't all we have, keep your eyes peeled for more coming soon! 😉
Woah, this is super cool! In I assume the mid 2000s, user
@hireBRADFORD
as a teen was able to get Evan Spiridellis from JibJab to make a doodle for his yearbook, and they even were able to send him a note as well!
To top it off, here are the scratch vocals for "He's Barack Obama!" This marks the last scratch vocals that we received from Gregg Spiridellis. It's been a wonderful journey sharing these with you all, and some day we might get some more! Here you go! 😄

It's just a screenshot of the "U.N. Pussy" scene from "This Land", and I censored it because some people might be uncomfortable looking at it.
Also, I will be returning to posting normal JibJab facts and if something interesting is sent to us, you all will be the first to know.
(Also, epic embed fail. 💀)
