My biological dad was a drug addict and physically abusive to my mother. 12 years ago, my stepdad brought the light into our world again. Heβs always loved me and my sister as his own. And so we decided to change our last name this Fatherβs Day. I love you Dad. π
Itβs almost 2020 and this professor really said Black women die more during childbirth related to genetics. Grade A clownery. Call it what it is: Racism and dismissal of Black women in hospitals that continues to this day is the problem.
A million times YES! ππ
My heart feels so full seeing all of the people I love in one room to celebrate this next chapter that Blake and I are about to enter. I havenβt stopped replaying it.

My Sorors surprised me with a car parade to congratulate me for graduating! Yβall I was a mess. I canβt even post it all because I was ugly laugh crying the whole time. With everything going on, graduation hasnβt really been on my mind. I feel so loved and I am so blessed. ππ
Long distance relationships mean limited photos together but I love this man with all my heart. Iβve never been shown love and loyalty like this until now. More memories to come in 2020! π₯°
Another tragic story caused by the racial bias in healthcare. This is why Black nurses matter. Black doctors matter. Black healthcare workers matter. Representation matters.

Yβall I had to step out the classroom cause I was so mad and called my Dad. Black nurses and doctors will forever matter. No one else will take care of us period.
I started a brand called The Nurse Oasis while in nursing school in 2019. The community that has been built thus far is beautiful and I am proud to drop my first product today! Now available on ! Support black businesses! π
