6 years ago today Ciaran Killkenny confirmed that he was returning to Dublin after a spell playing Australian Rules. Since his return he has won 5 All Ireland titles, 6 Leinster titles, 5 National League titles and 3 All Stars. A hugely important player to this Dublin team
At what stage does the "Inter-county return badly needed in these grim days" commentary end?
I am concerned from a health and welfare perspective, both individually and collectively, for those contributing to the inter-county season

Today, we again report a new confirmed case figure over 1,000. This situation is extremely concerning.
We each need to reduce contact with other people, so that means staying at home, working from home where possible, physical distancing & stopping discretionary socialising.
Oi
@MeathGAA
meet you at the border tomorrow in Kinnegad for O'Byrne Cup Final or it will never be played. Snowball fight, last team standing lifts the cup

"If you and the rest of the lads spent a few weekends in a field like this pulling ragwort you'd be in the Super 8s. How do you think Roscommon got there? They are it for years." Ye thanks Dad 😒

I've heard of nerves at weddings or big games in Croke Park. Before you define nerves, try watching your father assist a heifer calving, on your phone, using a rural broadband connection!!!

*GAA suggestion* Imagine awards based on national leagues e.g. all-stars, top scorers etc. The function to be held in the county that wins lower Div e.g. Div 4 for football. The euphoria an event like this could create, it may even help improve

in weaker counties
I've kept this safe for the last 15 years. Well done
@dessiedolan
on a great career. If you could bring a few more with you that would be great. Enjoy retirement, catch you on the golf course 🐐
The skill set of the Dublin panel is the standout difference vs the rest.
Is there any Dublin player that has improved their skill set more than Michael Fitzsimons in the last number of years? Trained as a physio and retrained as a Doctor. Mindset 👏
#GAA
I didn't think this is how they would split Dublin but goodluck to Cuala in competing for the Sam Maguire 😜🙈. When are

After several months, it's great to finally announce Amgen as the new sponsors of Cuala adult football & Camogie.
More importantly, it includes:
-Annual 3rd level education bursary to a club member.
-Annual spot on the Amgen paid internship.
Thanks to everyone who helped!
I've chatted to the aul' lad and we have decided to sell some land to Westmeath county board. Most county boards would afford €275,000/acre wouldn't they?🤥😂
Dublin are fantastic and deserve their plaudits - no question!
Lets not focus on the "lack of quality" across the rest of Leinster rather, focus on development.
What can be done to develop all counties evenly for the benefit of our games?
#GAA
Every convo I've had today has included GAA and I've spoken with 10 ppl and 100 cows. Are the National Leagues the most entertaining inter-county competitions?

In 2020 Mullingar will have, in no particular order, The Fleadh, The Westmeath Bachelor competition and The Dubs in the Leinster Quarter-Final. I don't know which I'm more excited for or more likely to win

The alternatives are extremely processed!!!!

Considering the amount of praying I did for rain during April, May and June, I would like to sincerely apologise to everyone as I think we (cattle included) have had enough now 😅

The only good thing about the pitch in Drogheda is that it slowed Paddy Keenan down a bit so I could catch him 😉

Louth GAA rejoice as full planning approved for stadium

-2 year completion
-Louth GAA to fund at least 1/3 of project

fancy new gloves and a grape/sprong/fork (farmer PC)!!
I’ll either have more help on the farm or won’t have to worry about buying her presents in 2022 😂😂

What is the underlying reason for calls to change the championship structure and alter the playing rules of football
#GAA
🤔 The club championship with current rules has never been more exciting......
After ~250 days at grass, cows are now in the shed for the winter. This will set us up nicely for grazing early in 2022
Cows will consume grass silage (fermented grass) for the winter as they prepare for calving in February
Roll on spring 🌱🐂😃

Its not just the resources you need but also, the structure to utilise them. This schools game finished at 08:15 in Dublin this morning 👏👏

I was in Croke Park on Sunday and received a health alert for this cow 😩You see her eating, rumination and activity fell off a cliff!
Vet treated for (early) Timber Tongue and normality has resumed. SenseHub & vet saved any prolonged illness and drop in performance 🙌

Sad to hear of the passing of John Morrison. Really opened my eyes to "coaching" at a young age. I'll never forget practicing the high catch with John, using balloons, at the solid age of 11

Good article with Brian Fenton in the Irish Independent today and a great insight into his mentality.
Of the many standout points the two best for me:
- The Dubs have already had a meeting about the AI Final
- Fento managed to mention cows. A real people pleaser that guy

I’m a fan of Dublin GAA and what they have achieved. The current playing group are truly admirable on/off field eg this video. Recent suggestions of rule changes ignores the elephant in the room. Compare/contrast these stories. How can we compete?
To celebrate the launch of the new Dublin jersey,

visited 3 schools around Dublin yesterday morning to surprise some of the students with a jersey of their own! 💙👕

It’s great to see Offaly and Roscommon in an All-Ireland final, hard work by so many paying off..
Hopefully this game can add to the excitement we got to see yesterday - it might just be the best weekend for football in a long time 👏

Cows have to be fit not fat before calving and this is influenced by their diet!
Unfortunately nobody likes to hear they are carrying too much flesh and their energy intake needs to change 🐂😂

Westmeath county footballers will next weekend carry a special message on their jerseys for the clash against Armagh “Together for Mental Health” an initiative involving Pieta House and Good2Talk and supported by the county main sponsors O’Brien’s Renault
Will the plan to increase interest in GAA in the capital go full circle and lead to a decline? Their greatest competition is making the panel. Incredibly weak debate from the panel
@RTEgaa
I'd pay to watch a Dublin training game..

With the talk of the GAA not going ahead due to COVID-19 our chance of winning the Leinster or All-Ireland championship with Westmeath is looking highly unlikely
Now that the ploughing has been cancelled, we may have the Christmas dinner and wrap the year up now

Spreading lime today. Should save fertiliser costs and will help with soil fertility in 2022!
Lime is a soil conditioner and controls soil acidity. Soil pH has a large influence on soil nutrient availability.
