Gotta love the PGA Tour bias of the new OWGR points system. Billy Horschel has, played 12 events this year, misses 6 cuts and finished no higher than T32 in any event that has a cut. #18 at the start of the year, Billy is still #35 , shooting +11 today at Jack's place.

In 2023, Rahm won a full field Genesis event and earned 67.19877 OWGR points. This year with a much smaller and, by field rating, weaker field, the winner will earn 68.5457 OWGR points... That's in conflict with the foundational concept of the new OWGR system.

I don't mind people not liking the LIV product... The music isn't for everyone. A shorter day on the golf course isn't for everyone. Seeing the whole field warming up at the same time isn't for everyone. On TV, seeing lots of golf shots shown isn't for everyone. And that's ok🤷‍♂️

As LIV prepares to open the 2023 league season, from the OWGR prior to LIV London. 16 of the top 50 31 of the top 100 30% of the top 100 best ranked players are on the LIV tour. People using the current OWGR to bag LIV field strengths are missing a few sheep in the top paddock.

@ProGolfCritic Sorry Jay, but this is a bit harsh. In his first major Ludvig finished 2nd, some 3 shots clear of 3rd place. Anything less than praise is missing the mark, in my opinion. Aberg contended as much and for as long as anybody in the field, not named Scottie Scheffler.

A $3b, possibly more, investor arrives on the golf landscape and the establishment can't find a way to work collaboratively with it. Interesting that the ATP has no such struggle. Instead, the ATP is like ... "Cool, welcome. Lets see what we can do."

The PGA Tour has always been the strongest tour, but for decades the European Tour was a primary tour, with some of the world's best players. It's just a feeder tour now. Thankfully LIV has arrived and, collaborating with the Asian Tour, will be a 2nd option for top players. 1/n

@flushingitgolf Not in agreement here. The excitement of the team playoff is maximized by the home team being in the playoff. If this was the 4 Aces and Smash GC in the playoff, it wouldn't have the same pull. LIV needs the individual component to be of interest for the best players... ➡️
