If Biden truly wins AZ and NV, which seem increasingly likely, and wins MN, WI, MI (which seem likely unless the polls were off by INSANE numbers), he will have 269 EV. Then either ME2 or NE2 would get him to 270.
All without PA.

I’m struck by how you’ve modeled a path to becoming proudly woke while still remaining staunchly conservative on other matters — honest dialog and open debate become possible with a growth mindset that is more broadly inclusive of the worldview and lived experiences of others.
Surgeons: I don’t think tweeting intraop photos with lighthearted commentary is a particularly good look for our profession.
I also wonder about discussions of specific cases in real time.
Am I wrong?

We are down so many today at our hospital here in Chicago - nurses, docs, critical staff. ED swamped; they are bearing the brunt. Inpatient/ICU COVID census climbing daily. Operating room capacity for medically necessary time sensitive surgery already down 20%. But we carry on.
If you don’t realize this is how 99% of doctors feel, you’re not paying attention.

for the past 17 summers, I still have no interest in escaping the city to a lake house in Michigan or Wisconsin. Chicago summer weekends are just magical.
Congrats if you matched, but if you didn’t, keep the faith - it usually works out better than you can imagine right now, and almost always never how you fear. I know so many highly successful surgeons who didn’t match on Match Day.

1/ What Tennessee did yesterday isn't just reprehensible. It also violates well-established law. In December of 1966, the United States Court unanimously decided a case called Bond v. Floyd. Julian Bond was a Black man, elected to the Georgia legislature.

Au contraire, mon frère. You’ve been a citizen/celebrity role model, a wonderful advocate for sensible public health policy, and a supporter/cheerleader for front line healthcare workers. So sad for these trolls...

Might want to include the part where he called everybody else evil and that the election was stolen. 25th Amendment must be invoked. It is absolutely outrageous.
Just a reminder that "Dr" Phil is an unlicensed clinical psychologist, not a physician.

After Jeff Beck needed minor medical attention in Chicago in 2014 (as he himself reported ) he graciously surprised me with one of his own guitars, which he autographed “To Dr Jeff, from another Jeff”. Such a sad sad loss.

Pet peeves:
- saying “emergent” as an adjective when you mean “emergency” (which is a noun AND an adjective).
- saying “surgeries” when you mean “operations”
