No, they hated on it for the badly-implemented movement, dreadful gun balance, terrible spawns, weapon variants, supply drops, and general bad experience
I'm currently sat watching a planning application meeting for a brownfield site at home (which was rejected) which met every single legal requirement of it, and the glee with which it was rejected was sickening. Apparently ten, low-density houses, is overdevelopment.
Andy Street losing is a real kick in the balls. The national party need to stop pissing around with gimmicks and cowtowing to NIMBYism and actually focus on delivery. Growth, houses, national infrastructure all have to be of paramount importance.
The unfolding events in Israel and Palestine are deeply alarming.
We need an immediate ceasefire and urgent de-escalation.
And we need a route out of this tragic cycle of violence: ending the occupation is the only means of achieving a just and lasting peace.

Thank you, Lisa. As both a constituent of Blunt's and a party member, I was horrified by his comments. I'm glad he seems to be the only person to support them.
We need to reinstate mandatory targets, increase said targets to at least 400,000 dwellings per year, and ensure that these houses are built where they're needed most, i.e., London and the South East. Stop appeasing NIMBYS

Thin thin gruel.
Back in 2018 we saw plans to regenerate a famous old brownfield site in Walsall - the former Caparo factory🏗️
In 2020 we put £millions on the table to remediate the land to unlock the development of 252 homes🏡
Now, in 2023, people like Lewis are moving into their new home 👍🏻
In some personal news, I've achieved an upper 2:1 from Durham in my History BA, averaging just under 69 across the course.
Really happy with this, and can't wait to start the Politics and IR MA next September.
I've said this before, but an MP defecting to another Party should result in an automatic by-election. The Conservative Party and Reclaim are fundamentally different; the people of NW Leicestershire deserve a say over whether they endorse this crank as their MP.
In some personal news, I received my final marks back for my MA in Politics and IR a few days ago, which confirmed I'll be graduating with a distinction. Four years at Durham are now firmly over.
Domestic covid passports must be firmly opposed. I will lose my shit if the country is shut down to protect the elderly and vulnerable, just to open it up for them first because they were prioritised for the vaccine.
@emilyhewertson
NIMBYS lie about why they oppose development. It's not aesthetics, affordability etc. It's personal inconvenience and wanting to maintain their own house prices.
Going to uni in Durham confirms to me that this is the sort of architecture we should aspire to. You can't convince me that the SU building being a brutalist piece of shit isn't a coincidence.
By the time my grandma reached 22, she wasn't far off having two children. On the day I turn 22, I'm dressing up as Scooby Doo. I consider that progress.
If you are going to tweet about Captain Sir Tom Moore, and you aren't going to be paying tribute to the man or offering condolences, maybe think twice before you do so.
Utterly, utterly appalled by this from my MP. There are so few convictions given for sexual assault, to then come out with the statement to defend a mate is abhorrent. Awful.

Really is a phenomenal case of missing the point, isn't it? London is great for after work drinks. It's increasingly crap for anything after that if you don't want a club experience (and it's not great for clubbing itself either)
@albieamankona
I'm not in the ban carnival camp, but this does seem to be different circumstances in first glance? A medical incident and stabbing are slightly different.
It's worth pointing out that if the
@Conservatives
take a strong NIMBY stance in light of Labour wanting to build houses, they will lose most of their younger campaigners who they rely upon come election time.
If you go from being a member of the Tories to being a member of Labour, within weeks of leaving the former, the issue was with you being in the Party, not the Party itself.
You will never get a trade deal done in 12 months
In December next year we will be facing no deal or the Conservatives going back on their word

Rishi Sunak is absolutely fantastic. Whilst much of the Cabinet has been poor during this pandemic (including the PM), he's been innovative, understanding, and transparent. Hard challenges to come for him, but he's passed every challenge so far.
@NextGenTories
I'm glad he's considering younger voters but I can't see how further juicing demand is going to do anything? Just build some bloody houses
@CllrKingSPW
The application says it's low density for urban areas, it was supposed to be 44(?) dwellings, down to ten, and is brownfield land. Prime for development, and an example of why planning reform is necessary for me.

Yeah I'm involved in said discussions but not senior in the local party, so can't really comment more until the officers of the association meet to discuss things. Fair to say we're more than a bit unhappy
This really isn't a new observation, but handing your dissertation in online, and only online, is a bit of an anti-climax.
Saying that, I'm still buzzing to have got it done.
Glad to be able to share that I've been accepted (assuming I meet the conditions) onto the Politics and IR (Political Theory) MA

starting in September! Looking forward to staying up north for another year.
Phone boxes aren't used anymore. Over a period of many years they're repurposed so that more people are likely to survive cardiac arrests. Apparently this is a problem. Grow up.
@JackRuleLD
I'm going to nibble a bit here and respond in a serious fashion, but surely at least some of the reason is demand, as the Oval serves London and the SE, by a distance the most populated part of the country (Lord's shouldn't have 2 tests). It's also just easy to get to.
@93vintagejones
There's this weird trend with the British right where, instead of asking how they can appeal to the young, major figures just lambast the young for not supporting them.
In some (non-political) news which may actually impact how I use Twitter come some point next year, I do actually have a job lined up for September. Very excited to be working near Central London, if any of my Twitter friends are based around me there do let me know!
⁉️Why can't vaccinated people go free early?
💬Young people were always at low risk but are locked down for the sake of older and more vulnerable people.
😡They would rightly be furious to now be left locked down while those they protected go free
Bone-headed & senseless decision. Govt says

is vital to meet 2035 electricity decarbonisation target, but *its own impact statement* found we won't get supply for at least another 13-17 years - do the maths! Nuclear is hugely costly & simply can't help meet 2035 target
I say this as someone who is very sceptical of lockdowns, but if you can't accept that a VIRUS can mutate, you don't understand science. Like at all. You can debate whether the new measures are fair, but if you think this virus hasn't changed, you're either ignorant or an idiot.
@ZachElsbury
The Lizzy line doesn't even run that well, but it goes where people want to go, which makes it successful. HS2 should be built in full, now.
I'm firmly of the opinion that local government reform needs to include some sort of uniformity at the local level being introduced. It's ridiculous how many different levels of government there are across the UK.
