For the last few months I've been beating myself up about ageing. Anyway yesterday I had a health MOT, the health professional who did it thought I was 40 and he said I looked great and was very healthy. So here I am celebrating in some holiday clothes I hope to wear this year.
Booked my first ever cruise for this summer so I thought I'd buy a dress for the vacation. It was cheap as chips and if I was bigger on top I'd be able to give off a Jessica Rabbit kind of vibe βοΈ
As I approach half a century in age π I feel content, blessed and full of gratitude to have lived the life I have. I plan on ticking a few more boxes on my bucket list in the next few years, just maybe at a slightly slower pace β¨οΈ
Been reflecting today. What a year I've had. And as much as Twitter pushes some of my buttons, some of you are so full of love and wonder you've made this year more enjoyable and bearable β€π
Anyway. Here's me in my fave United shirt for no other reason than it's ace π
When I hit the menopause this year my body shape changed literally overnight. It took a while to get used to, and barely any of my clothes fitted me anymore. Yesterday I went shopping and embraced my new shape by buying new clothes.
Recently I saw a tweet that said men don't like older women because they don't look after themselves like younger women do. Then I saw another saying that men prefer older women because they know what they want and are more experienced. Who gives a shit, just fancy who you want.
Been so quiet on here the last couple of days. Had my leaving do of my previous job last week and am still waiting for confirmation of my new role start date. So kind of just sitting about and gaming on the VR headset mostly ππ¬ Keep your fingers crossed that I start next week.
My 10 year old daughter says I'm embarrassing and refused to give me a kiss when I dropped her off at school this morning.
So I'm going to dress up as Big Bird from Sesame Street when I collect her this afternoon to teach her a lesson.
I left my work laptop at the bus stop today, didn't even realise until someone I don't know messaged me on LinkedIn. I cannot tell you how much it means for someone to do that. There's some genuinely lovely people around π
I'm listening to a song whilst taking this photo. Let's see if you can feel the music energy and guess what I'm listening to. A couple of clues.
1. By a man
2. Released before I was born
3. Very wholesome song
4. Have you paid yours?
5. Dry and shrivelled
6. Are you weak?
I've been walking a minimum of 10,000 steps every day for the last two months. Not only do I love soaking up the fresh air, I've also lost 5lbs for my effort.
Start my new job tomorrow which I'm very excited about. It's a completely new role that involves making Salford a better place to live and work. Driving the economy and helping people to succeed and earn more money. Love it β₯οΈ
Asda were giving away free parsnips, carrots and broccoli so we grabbed a load so we could make soup for our elderly neighbours. I hate food waste and I hope our neighbours enjoy their warm treat β€οΈ
Trying to find an outfit for next week. Had this dress for around 12 years and every time I try it on I get scared I won't be able to zip it up or breathe π³π€£
Luckily it still fits and gets to live another year.
On a daily basis girls with their norks out are appearing on my TL talking about United. Time to start unfollowing the virgins who comment on such accounts making this happen π
Seriously imagine a pantless bloke holding his nob end saying 'glad we've signed Maguire'.

Just been asked to pull my mask down when buying a scratch card so they could ID me at the supermarket. Had no make up on and told her I turned 48 yesterday. Must have young eyes. Buzzin π¬
We're out of the Arctic Circle and the sea is calmer. Not going to lie it was scary at times, but wow what an adventure. See, I'm OK. Would you honestly fancy sleeping through that though?!
I'm actually at risk of being made redundant after working my bollox off, saving lives and sustaining a workplace injury. If it goes tits up I'm going to start a naked yoga Only Fan, 50 pence per standing splits. Joke.
However I would appreciate some good luck thoughts β€
Got a job interview today with the company I already work for. It involves training NHS staff across the country, which sounds really exciting and right up my street. Maybe I won't be standing in the dole queue after all.
I've just received a friends request on Facebook. Not familiar with the lad so I check his profile. No mutual friends and he looks very young, can't be any older than 18 or 19. He would cry his eyes out if he knew how old I was, well old enough to be his mum (or even granny) π
Up and at it since 5.30. Taking my girls to cross country, then I'm off to body balance. Prepping up some food for a vegan, couple of vegetarians and some meat eaters then chilling out with close friends. Also weighed myself and lost a couple of pounds so I can eat cake too π
Talking of bucket lists, it was 17 years ago when I took myself and a suitcase to go and live, study and work in Zimbabwe and South Africa. I became a lion handler, then worked in cheetah conservation. Life is for living and I've never regretted any of it, even the bad stuff.
Happy Father's Day to all of you who are good dads.
Not mine though, I never met him and when I tried to find him he wasn't interested. Imagine not wanting to be related to me, his loss.

Anyone guilty of a crime but saying 'no comment' repeatedly should get bonus years added to their sentence.
Don't moan about the copper with the mohawk. A hairdo does not dictate how you perform your job.
Don't carry knives/guns.
I live close to Heaton Park, might rent my garden out to people travelling over for the Oasis gigs. Β£20 per tent with a morning brew and toast thrown in π
There's a programme on BBC2 now about Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River. When I lived there we camped next to the river, where wildlife roamed freely such as hippos and crocs. Here's a photo of me on that day, such an amazing experience β¨οΈ
Not invested any time into the Jay Slater conspiracy theories, until now. One minute of scrolling and I've realised that some people shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Just found this photo of me aged 20. I was at Uni at the time and modelled for a fellow photography student. State of it, showing off my white pants and the pics behind are from a porno mag ππ
He's actually a very famous photographer now, so that's my little claim to fame.
Did anyone else used to play Kerby when they were a kid? Basically you would throw a ball at a kerb (usually on a council estate pavement) and hope it would bounce back to score points! β½οΈ

Did I tell you that I was off again today? Well I am. At my alarm for 5am though, so I could get up early and make the most of the day.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Whatever your thoughts are, having cancer is no laughing matter. We all know someone whose had it or will have it. Just bear that in mind before making your jokes.
Morning everyone π I love waking up early and finding some 'me' time. It's lovely and peaceful, I can practice yoga and meditate before the chaos of the day starts. I still feel poorly so today I'll be on the Lemsips again, they work wonders. Have a great day everyone.
I feel sad because we're heading south again. I'll be in the Arctic Circle for another 30 hours, but I'm gutted because being so high up gave me a wonderful feeling of escapism.
I'm pretty much at the end of the world. There is no darkness, that first photo was taken at 1am. There are no Universities or Cathedrals further north than this. Tomorrow I go further north to the Barents Sea and Honningsvag.
My work have said that they will pay all 1500 employees an extra Β£500 this month to help with the cost of living, we're all getting a 4% pay rise, and all staff were having Christmas off and it didn't need to come out of our annual leave.
I love this.
Been awake since midnight, tossing and turning. Did some tests and it turns out that I have COVID. Not going to lie, I feel totally rough. Gutted because I had a very important hospital appointment this morning, and it's the girl's Birthday tomorrow. Yes, sympathy is welcomed.
My back took a pounding last year due to long work hours and workplace stress. I'm on the road to recovery, it's been long and hard and I can't do a lot of things I used to (including my graphic design). This stretching is about as good as it gets, I'm still smiling though β€
Job update. I've been invited to an assessment centre morning for four jobs that I've applied for at my current company. If successful I'll be attending between one and four job interviews on Thursday. All of the jobs are fantastic but there are two that I would really love β€οΈ
Wagamama is trending now. Thought it might be because someone had messaged them asking if papas and children could eat in there or if it was just for mamas.
