SUVs are 8 times more likely to kill a child than ordinary cars, produce 25% more planet-heating CO2 emissions, and poison our air with toxic fumes. They are utterly unnecessary in a city like Norwich. We should charge SUVs for their costs to society.

🚨BREAKING 🚨 Norfolk County Council have NO contingency reserve if the Norwich Western Link fails. If it fails, the cost will completely wipe out their general revenue reserves at £20million. This is huge. @NorfolkCC is gambling with Norfolk's financial future. @StopWensumLink

Norfolk had some of the worst fuel poverty in the country even before price hikes. I asked the Leader of Norfolk County Council whether he will establish an insulation taskforce to insulate thousands of🏠s to help bring down the cost of living. He didn't answer the question.

Just attended @NorfolkCC Cabinet meeting to ask what they are doing about the awful air pollution in Norwich city centre: very, very strange. The Tory councillors basically said "we're doing fine, not a problem". What is their alternative reality?

Rents: out of control in Norwich. I speak to so many people who can only just make rent, with barely anything left over for childcare, food, and everything else. @TheGreenParty is committed to rent caps, to stop housing costs spiralling, and provide a secure home for all.

For years, Norfolk's Tories claimed the Norwich Western Link will cut carbon emissions, ignoring scrutiny from experts. Now they have been forced to admit that it will add thousands of tonnes of CO2 into the environment each year. And at a cost of £70m per mile! @StopWensumLink

The Norwich Western Link is quite possibly illegal. Leaving aside all the other reasons to stop it in its tracks, if @NorfolkCC pushes ahead they will be opening themselves up to major legal and financial risks. @StopWensumLink

This was bizarre. @NorwichLabour this evening voted to indefinitely postpone a cross-party Lib Dem & Green motion for more car-free streets. They say this was so they could think about it. Aren't we in a climate and health emergency?

Rents are rising faster in Norwich than almost anywhere, with tenants paying extortionate rents to fund someone else's mortgage while fearing being turfed out on a Section21. As @TheGreenParty candidate I am standing for rent controls to stop costs spiralling, and a ban on S21.
