Genuinely think that may have been the most complete performance I’ve ever seen in 28 years from the club. Relentless in attack, the work rate in midfield and will to get the ball was great and defensively we were brave. Outstanding.
Haven’t posted on here for a while. I’ve refrained from passing opinion about anything Gills, as I can’t be arsed with the arguments. But i think we can all agree that we have a problem at the club right now with fan behaviour. Appalling. My heart sank when I saw it.
I think
@ShannonGalinson
was asking for time and patience, rather than calling in to question fan intelligence. They’ve been great for the club, night and day to the previous owner. I trust their sincerity, want to do right by the club and decisions taken in good faith.
Malone is a class player, tonight showed that. But I’ll never be fine with a player shushing the fans. Especially when you’ve been getting arguably deserved criticism. It’s a wanker move imo. Always thought it anytime a player has done it.
Best defence in the EFL without our first choice keeper and CB. One of the highest scorers in the league despite having several attacking players out at varying points, including Dack not playing one league game yet. Really excited about this squad, already cannot wait Saturday.
Put aside any opinion about the records of the lads we’ve signed up top this last few weeks. It can’t be much worse than who have gone before them can it? We’ve got 3 lads in who ultimately have a point to prove, for differing reasons.
My penny worth on Dack if it happens. The lad would be in the premier league if it wasn’t for doing both ACL’s. Still only 30. Put aside the risk of injury - it’s an unreal signing. Even if he plays half a season, he wins us points on his own. Worth the gamble all day long.
It really isn’t a great indictment of some Gills fans on here that I feel worried to post anything remotely negative about today (or the season in general). Policing opinion isn’t a good look at all lads. The players deserve criticism for a lot of this season.
Really hoping Chatham do it Monday. Would be funny if Maidstone finally get a league game with a team across bluebell hill and it’s not the one they want 😂
4 games in but I’m man enough to say I look like I’ve got this spectacularly wrong. Even if he still only bagged 1 in 5 here, his attributes are invaluable. Bloke was unreal last night, did not stop running, harried defenders into mistakes, clear man of the match i thought.
Might seem like a minor thing, but I honestly cannot remember a time we tied talent down mid season to a new contract. Another massive step in the right direction.
Gutless bunch of wankers. None of them give a shit. Combination of can’t be arsed and hopeless in front of goal. Struggling to think of a team I’ve disliked this much with such a disconnect with the terraces.
We look excellent at home, great intensity! Imagine a squad of ours in the last few years winning by more than 1 goal, let alone scoring 3 with 10 men! Considering we have 9 lads to come back at some point it’s very positive signs, just need to translate it away as well!
The club will be hosting a jobs fair inside the Great Hall tomorrow between 10am and 1pm.
This is a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 and all tickets will be scanned on arrival.

@AllEnglandFlags
A shocking week yes, but don’t tar us all with the same brush, we’re generally a family orientated community club, with morally sound, working class supporters. 99% of the fan base are embarrassed by what’s gone on.
Clemence will blame the sending off, but that was jank. Again. 19 first halves without a goal under him. You can’t dress it up, it’s not good enough is it. The players look so disinterested it’s a joke.
I maintain this is on the players. They get up for cup games and play with intensity. There is no reason why they couldn’t be like that in the league. They don’t want it enough. Unless they find it in themselves, or January transforms the squad. We’re going to be mid table.
Take solace that this happened in 95-96, lost at home to the same team (albeit not so comprehensively) after 4 straight wins, and we went on to get promoted. Probably a wake up call we needed.
This season has proper 95-96 vibes about it. A new owner who we all love (let’s be honest we did at first with Scally), a defensively sound team. 4 wins from 4. Harris has us playing relatively similar to Pulis. We’re on a crest of a wave here. Great start!
MEMS and Bauvill for that matter are such significant businesses in the Medway area. Having people like them on side is great news for the club. Have to commend the club for how many local businesses want to be involved more and more. Long may it continue.
Putting aside any sentiment for my own club aside. Crawley really do deserve 7th. It’s very easy to say in retrospect but can’t help think maybe we should’ve hired SL, what a job he’s done there this season. Doesn’t necessarily translate to us, but you can’t argue with fact.
It’s not indicative of our fan base generally, but we seem to have something every week at the moment. We have a great set of owners, and I truly hope they’re not put off staying here by a mindless minority. What must our black players be thinking in all this as well.
I can live with a team who give their all. This team are so half arsed. It’s not remotely good enough. It’s the same virtually every week. They do not care.
Strange one is Macca. I think we will miss him, he gave us energy and work rate, good eye for a pass and at set plays. But he couldn’t complete a 90 mins, and offering a 33 year old a 2 year deal just isn’t sensible. So it’s kind of mixed emotions. Hopefully we get in better.
There were others that were closer with you mate, but you’ve regularly appeared in my thoughts this last year, which has flown round. What an incredibly sad story of a life gone too soon, a daughter now without a father. I encourage others to speak up if you’re not feeling OK.

Some may think badly of me for this, frankly I don’t care. But that was bad enough (and has been for most of his reign) that I’m tempted to not bother going Saturday despite having a ST. I’d rather spend time with the family tbh.
Some of the players and staff contacted me. Of course they did Paul 😂 desperate to stay relevant. Claims to want what’s best for us, yet taking us to court. The Galinsons have seen through him very quickly. Claims to be liked by fans, come to factory for one game and see…
4 points off top half, 41 points since 14th Jan. Sure it was absolute crap before Xmas, but you cannot argue with fact. That is some second half of the season. Bit of pace in the squad and a deadly striker added and I’m confident we’re going up.
You can pump it long or play it nicely on the ground with loads of possession. But if you play with zero intensity especially going forwards you won’t win games. Regardless of the manager or style. That is our issue. Under both regimes the players just dont give enough of a shit.
@TheGillsFC
If he thinks we’ve caused them problems then god help us. We were appalling. The players aren’t good enough, but if that’s a decent standard to him then we’ve no chance. Bloke couldn’t inspire a starving man to have a meal.
I tell you what one of the most annoying things about Gills twitter is at the moment: seeing our fans moan about other fans of ours moaning/having a slightly negative stance on something. Do they not see the irony in that? Get off your high horses and let people have opinions.
I have been fortunate enough over the years to have played 3 times at Priestfield with my pals.
Including leading my boy out, and winning a game there, sadly no goal (hit the post 😫).
Great initiative from the club to make dreams come true! Buzzing for everyone playing.
Bradley Dack will leave the club upon the expiry of his contract next month.
💙 Everyone at

for the amazing memories and incredible impact he has made both on and off the pitch during his time at Ewood Park and we wish him well for the future.

RIP Rose, lovely woman both in general, and to me over the years.
Very sad to see both her and Pam have passed on in recent years. Matriarchs of the supporters club and the club itself.
𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 - Rose Streatfield sadly passed away on the 7th August 2024. Our thoughts are with her husband, Bob, and all of her family and friends at this time. Rose, who lived in Rainham, was 95 years old.
Personally feel there were better names in the frame, which gives the vibe of being underwhelmed. But equally the guy has a promotion from this league under his belt (albeit with Mullin up top), we could have done a lot worse here and is an upgrade on SC. Time to get behind him.
Regardless of how any previous season went or indeed the summer of football in this year’s case: the excitement and optimism the week before the new season starts always rears its head at pace. Can’t wait for Saturday! It’ll be good to be back 💙🍺
Gutted I can’t be there today, off on holiday. Have a drink for Canaan for me lads and make a load of noise come the 28th min, and Gills please win for him today!
I’m not one of these miseries who refuses to have this above my head. But considering this cost what £1.5k? It’s a no from me. Expected it to be much bigger, been shafted by the supplier. Stick it on the top tier of the Brian Moore after this game.
10 players will leave

, while four return to their parent clubs.
We thank them for all their efforts here and wish them all the best for the future.
Easy win that, we’re so good out of possession this season. They didn’t lay a glove on us, lots of possession but no end product. Sounds familiar! Stuey Lewis has the blues, that’s the power of Mark 😂
@StuartLewis66
Season number 30 supporting the Gills for yours truly. As excited as I’ve ever been at the start of a new one. First 23 game season ticket in 19 years. Can’t wait. Fingers crossed on a good result tomorrow.
I’m never going to be a Harris advocate and I refrain from going over the top too much in my opinion. I can’t argue with substance over style when we’re winning. You can’t argue with fact. But we need to create more and be more brave in league games. I feel this is on him.
The lack of patience amongst our fans is quite funny to see on here. That said I’m sure it’s the same with every team. We don’t need wholesale changes and I’m sure they’re working hard on getting people in. That said, the lack of any rumour at all is strange!
It’s very early doors, we’ve had injuries and Donny are decent, but basing it solely on away games so far, nothing much has changed really. Intensity isn’t there, pedestrian, no attacking threat. Frustrating AF once again from this team regardless of manager.
Thought I’d post some photos of refurbishments of the shop, players lounge, exec boxes and screens in the kiosks.
Apologies I don’t have any photos of the new roof, upgraded gantry, coaches offices and changing rooms, also done in the last 12 months.
See you Thursday 👍
