Hi
@emilyeavis
! Just wondering why you’ve painted over the Jewish Stars of David on ‘M.Levine meat’ kosher butcher sign in SE corner this year?
Seems strange to me you’d erase a clearly Jewish symbol on a Jewish sign for no reason?
Looking forward to your response
#Glastonbury
Speaking out on Panorama was one of the toughest things I’ve ever done. But I have such endless respect, admiration and solidarity for the whistleblowers who bravely & heroically stood up against racism.
Been a while since I said this, but today I am proud to be a Labour member
Some people parachuted into safe Labour seats spent years relentlessly bullying me both on campus in Birmingham & in NUS.
They weren’t subtle of the fact it was because of my identity, and it absolutely broke me. The past few days have been pretty triggering &quite frankly, shit
I’m so honoured to have been selected as one of the
@CamdenLabour
candidates for South Hampstead this coming May.
It's a new ward that I can’t wait to turn red. If you’re around Camden or would like to help with the campaign we’d love to have you! Bring it on! 🌹 💪

‘I want to do anything I can to get Jeremy Corbyn into downing street’ - Ken Livingstone on Sky News right now
Get the heck out of and far away from the party and stop talking about Hitler and Jews to start
How can you think you can pass judgement on what is a proportionate response by a Jewish woman when talking about her own oppression.
Oh no wait, you can’t.
How can you think that the phrase “What a Corbyn government might mean for Britain’s Jews” is a proportionate response and doesn’t simply whip up panic amongst many.
Sorry - just to get this straight. My timeline suggests that you can say as many racist things as you like, without facing any consequence, as long as you make good films? Is that how we define anti racism these days?
Late to this as I wasn’t at Limmud, but did
@EmilyThornberry
really claim that Corbyn hasn’t tackled antisemitism in the Party correctly because *he* was upset about being labelled an antisemite and that clouded his judgement?! As if he is the victim here?!
Wow.
The fact that whoever decided to leak this dossier did do with the unredacted copy shows the absolute sheer contempt they had for any of the victims of antisemitism, not least those who were brave enough to speak up.
Truly truly disgusting. Solidarity.
I received this less than 3 hours after launching my reelection campaign. It seems as though I am the only candidate so far that has been demanded to state my position on Israel/Palestine. I wonder why 👀
The day this doesnt happen to Jewish candidates will be utterly miraculous
Exciting news! Today was my first day in my new job and I am really excited to have joined Macmillan as their Campaigns Officer 🤗
I can’t wait to get stuck into developing and delivering campaigns to support and change the lives of people living with/ those affected by cancer
My highlight of (a pretty eventful) NUS conference was when in a speech a candidate said ‘free free palestine’ and a whole block of the NEC turned around (some stood up) and looked straight at me LIKE IM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT ✡️
#NUSNC18
#NUSConference
I really shouldn't be surprised by this given Salma Yaqoob's awful rhetoric on many issues, but this is just so so disgusting I'm completely lost for words.
Jewish students, yet again, are being failed by
@NUSUK
and forced to feel unwelcome in its spaces.
I spent 5yrs in NUS, one as a VP and despite best efforts, rarely felt comfortable or listened to.
The long disregard by the union for the concerns of Jews doesn’t seem to be over
This is simply unacceptable.
@nusuk
have completely disregarded the impact Lowkey’s performance, and his presence, will have on Jewish students. How are Jewish students supposed to feel included in the wider student movement when NUS choose this figure to perform?
TONIGHT: Can we clear up the confusion on what Jeremy Corbyn’s wreath was commemorating? Labour MP Chris Williamson will join us live

They’ll be significant challenges Labour still has to overcome to root out antisemitism. Cultures don’t change & trust isn’t won back overnight.The EHRC will prove a pivotal moment but until those Jewish members & allies who left the Party feel they can return, the work isnt done
1. Yep, the clerks of
#NUSNEC
didnt allow a motion on Hezbollah to be discussed
2. Yep, NEC prioritised Israel/ Palestine over housing/online hate crime/other v important motions
3. Yep, NEC voted again for division over dialogue
4. Yep, I never have to go back again

British Jews and Jewish organisations are not responsible for the actions of the Israeli Government. Any conflation is purely antisemitic, as is assuming a Jewish community groups politics based on the simple fact they are Jewish.
I’ve seen a Panorama clip doing the rounds on BBC News today where I said I dont think the Labour Party is a safe space for Jews. I was also asked about it on
@timesradio
today.
It absolutely broke me to say it at the time but I’m optimistic things are changing for the better
Strong Jewish women in leadership (especially the Labour Party) puts the biggest two fingers up to everyone who continuously tries to bully us out and to the shameless & nasty antisemitic online trolls (and makes me so unbelievably happy).
@mrwtch
is an utter inspiration😭❤️🌹
Proud to have marched for a
#PeoplesVote
today. I’ll never stop fight for our place in the EU, esp as a young Jewish woman. We must be internationalists if we’re going to confront the rise of the far-right and antisemitism in Europe & tackle the refugee crisis
#PutItToThePeople
Thanks to all those who marched with us today on the
#PutItToThePeople
#PeoplesVoteMarch
in Central London. And thank you to the countless people who came up to our giant banner to express solidarity with us.
🚨🗣 There is a CLEAR LINE between free speech and hate speech. Every student has the right to walk around their campus free from fear and persecution and no platform policies help exactly that🚨🗣
Extremely honoured and humbled to have been elected to the
@JewishLabour
NEC as International Officer. Looking forward to working with Jewish communities across the world fighting antisemitism & promoting progressive values. Congrats to the new committee & our fab chair
@mikekatz
It’s no secret being involved in student politics lead me to face some of the most vile and threatening antisemitism I will ever experience.
NOLS was always there for me when too many too often weren’t. A true ally in the fight against antisemitism & I’ll be forever grateful
Super pumped to announce I’m re-running to be your NUS VP Welfare. I was humbled to be elected last year and I’ve not wasted a minute on delivering my promises - but the work’s not complete. Watch my video and join my campaign here: See you at Conference!
‘The principle of the changes I want to see are clear: if you are anti-semitic, you should not be in the Labour Party. No ifs, no buts.’
This is such an extremely refreshing and reassuring piece. All I can really say is thank you
@Keir_Starmer
.
'My party takes the strongest action against antisemitism wherever it rears its ugly head' -
@jeremycorbyn
Delusional and intentionally so. The Jewish community and our allies have never, and will never be fooled. Sheer lies.
#PMQs
What the Labour leadership have done to our party and our country is absolutely shameful and beyond contempt.
Praying the most phenomenal MP
@RuthSmeeth
keeps her seat. She is an absolute inspiration and does not deserve to be let down by this shitshow 🥀
#ReElectRuth
#GE2019
Not looking forward to people defending the leadership and party’s stance on antisemitism in the face of the results in Barnet and other highly populated Jewish wards.
Were you on the doorstep listening first hand to the heartbreaking concerns of these voters? Obviously not 🙄
FYI: These are the only organisations no platformed by NUS. No individual person. These dangerous groups seek (and have done before) to threaten, demonise and attack the lives of students on campus. They have absolutely no place in our colleges and universities.
Thrilled and honoured to be re-elected to represent Division 7 (Barnet, Camden, Harrow & Brent) on the
@LondonLabour
Executive Committee. V excited to work alongside the great
@ShamaTatler
.
We’ve got a vital few years ahead of us in London - can’t wait to get to work🌹
#LonLab21
‘Once again we find ourselves having to remind the Labour Party that Jeremy Corbyn is not the victim of Labour antisemitism - Jewish members are’.
☝️ 👏
Congratulations to my best pal
@izzyjengalenga
on winning in South Hampstead. Despite the vile antisemitic abuse she faced, the haters didn’t win.
The people of South Hampstead have elected a dedicated activist who’s experience and hard work needs no explaining 🌹👏🏾
🗣 Stop attacking Jewish communities and kosher shops as retaliation for Trump's decision. We are not responsible 🗣
Sending love and solidarity to the Amsterdam Jewish Community ✡️
Dear Lord am I over the moon I am out of NUS and student politics but my full solidarity will always lie with Jewish students,
@UJS_UK
and allies in amongst the bunch of antisemites involved who constantly try to break Jews down, push Jews out and make Jews feel unwelcome/ unsafe
I see my timeline is back to being filled with non Jews telling Jews how to identify. It’s almost like I’ve returned to NUS 🙃
(Unsurprising tho given it is much of the same people)
🚮
Happy polling day 🌹!
We’re ready to go in South Hampstead!
I’ve not spoken about it too much, but it’s been a really rough few months. I’ve faced levels of antisemitism I’ve never had before, and am eternally grateful for all those who’ve offered support 1/2
It’s been a totally wild 5 years in
@nusuk
& student politics. I can never express how grateful I am to everyone who supported me(and Jewish students)throughout my journey. Lots to reflect on but lots to celebrate & even more to look forward to
Zionara comrades. Over and out👋💕

meeting of the year (and my life 🤗). In light of the recent confirmation by the Commander of the Met Police on 30/05 that the Hezbollah flag will be allowed to be present at the

rally on Sunday, I submitted this emergency motion
The ‘non Jews supporting/ celebrating the existence [not current politics] of the only Jewish state for the sole reason to bait the far left’ is literally the worst hottake floating around my twitter feed rn 🙅🏻♀️
Really excited and honoured to have been selected as a delegate to

Very proud to have played a small part in this extremely important documentary, on such a deeply painful topic. By no means was it easy, but it had to be done.
Richly well deserved

nomination. A huge well done, and thank you, to all the team at Panorama
Our documentary, 'Is Labour Anti-Semitic?,' has been nominated for a

Interviewing key insiders and accessing confidential communications and documents, we showed how the anti-Semitism crisis gripped Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party.

Disappointed that
@WavertreeCLP
has cancelled it's 'no confidence in Luciana Berger' meeting. Other MPs already been subject to similar measures.
The fight for
@UKLabour
to become a truly democratic party continues. The old Labour establishment, as ever, resist it.
Ah yes, mandatory reselection - THE most pressing issue facing young people/ young labour members at this very point in time 🤦🏻♀️. Proudly have voted for mental health services as our conference submission, you should too! ✊
Imagine having the guts to clap Jackie Walkers expulsion but also inviting Eddie Dempsey to sit on one of your panels. We see through this sheer hypocracy. Actions, not words (or claps). Pretty simple
#LYLAGM19
Lol imagine running to be a Labour PPC in the bagel belt (the most jewish populated constituencies) with Ken Loach as one of your quotes on your manifesto. Takes some guts that 🤦🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️
Today marks my last day working at
@macmillancancer
. It’s been a wild 2 years and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. So grateful for all the amazing experiences and the even better pals made along the way. Here’s to the next chapter (& a month off)! 💚 📣

for leadership of the Labour Party.

Together, we can do this ✊
There is so much bullshit on my timeline of pitting the fight against antisemitism and islamophobia against each other. Both are evils in society, and we must work to eradicate both wherever and whenever they manifest
Some of those to attend tonight’s ‘Labour leaks: lessons for the left’ Zoom conference. Antisemitism was denied, Ken Livingstone was defended. And Jo Bird falsely claimed party members had died as a result of disciplinary cases.
Sickening. Absolutely sickening.
Let’s not be naive and think Corbyn has no idea what he is doing or who he is meeting. Yet again, he is purposefully antagonising and baiting the Jewish community. He has decided to stand on the side of the likes of this guy 🚮
Turned on the TV this morning to find
@AbdiwaliUK
nailing it on Victoria Derbyshire this morning, talking all things to do with our extortionate tuition fees, VC pay and why it’s important to support the
@ucu
pension strike 🙌💯
#HEreview
FFS. I will be raising this first thing tomorrow morning (becoming a regular habit 🙄) and I hope jewish students that see/ saw this know that there IS a space for them in NUS and we will continue to fight for it, no matter what 💕✊
Being Jewish on the rush hour Northern Line commute either means knowing at least 2 people on your carriage and/or having to get off the train because someone who has harassed and victimised you online for being outspoken and Jewish is on it. Today’s commute was the latter 😩
There’s absolutely nothing to be proud of from a leadership that not only enabled the party to become institutionally racist but also plunged the most vulnerable into even more years of a Tory government. Twice.
Winning arguments don’t change lives. Winning elections do.
I’m extremely honoured to have been re-elected to
@JewishLabour
’s NEC this afternoon as International Officer.
It’s been a busy few years fighting for our progressive internationalist Zionist values, excited for three more years 🙌
