Drives me nuts when I see an artist ask another (often pro) artist what brushes they're using, and it devolves into a "These won't make you draw better!!" scolding. 99% of the time, people just like the texture of it or it seems like it handles nice, it's not that deep dude

@_marshiyan Layouts are a big reason behind this; for example the OG shot there is a slight upshot and gives more depth to the characters and background, whereas the reboot shot is a direct head-on / orthographic view that flattens everything

P.S. I used my Xerox Pencil brush I made for CSP (and duped for other programs, too), you can download it for free at my site in the pic below. If you want an extra crunchy look like I did here, just use the brush however on a layer, rasterize it, then vectorize it.
