they have a base who can do one mans, a bounce back pass, a team full on center flyers, and elite level bases and backspots. nobody is doing it like ssx!!!
poor girl, people truly don’t understand how hard it is living away from family as a 14 year old. i definitely wouldn’t be able to. wishing her the best❤️
so excited for her awe🥺when one door closes, another one opens!! cudos to her and her family for continuing to chase after her dream, she’s going to do so good on quantum!
@CheerFessions1
ngl this is karma and a sign that you need to fix your talking at practice. esp on senior teams, the drama spreads around so fast and everything you say will get back around to people
@CheerFessions1
nah her confidence has grown sm this year and she’s thriving on xss. she’s also super consistent which is important on a new worlds team. i can’t imagine tropix without t dawg!!
@CheerFessions1
tbh this is an issue for lots of the more popular athletes. there’s a time and place! just like kennedi said, when these athletes are with their team trying to get places, it’s not a good time to try to meet them or get pics
@CheerFessions1
a step in the right direction but the wrong move. they should’ve fazed it out and raised the age every year so no current athletes have to move teams
@CheerFessions1
the corner flyers are usually the newer/less experienced flyers. some of the BEST back spots/bases have been in corner groups (larrissa randolph for ex). don’t take it as an insult, you might be the only one on the team able to help that stunt group
@CheerFessions1
maybe in this case the better flyers are shorter but let’s be careful. shorter flyers≠better flyers. some of the all time best flyers have been on the tall side! their lines look super pretty
@CheerFessions1
or they could just learn to deal with it and tolerate each other. if blily moves to a diff state with a host family i bet she’s not gonna let one person stop her from joining her dream team
@CheerFessions1
she did, but it could be any reason (injury, new gym, wanting to try something new, getting burnt out, etc). we aren’t entitled to know, but we should be supporting her in whatever she does next! i’m proud of her no matter what!
@CheerFessions1
all of this could’ve should’ve would’ve doesn’t change the fact that they didn’t hit. obviously they would’ve scored better if they hit, just like every other team, but it’s a competition with one chance. y’all need to let revs have their moment and look forward to next comp omg
@CheerFessions1
no, it very much is. all of those kids are being set up for failure and injuries. i disagree with the ppl bullying the kids, but i agree with the criticism on the coaches and gym’s part
@CheerFessions1
izzy is amazing and her placement has nothing to do with anything! like with smoed they had madi and jenee mirroring even when they were vets because they looked so good side by side. sometimes it’s more about who looks best visually for the overall aesthetic if that makes sense
@CheerFessions1
i feel like her and blily’s situations were very different. blily was homeschooled, her family lived in texas, etc. katie goes to public school and cheers there so i’d imagine she isn’t moving for now
@CheerFessions1
well they aren’t going to reject the kids from other programs trying out if they have the skills and talent for their team? they are going to put the set of kids on the team that can maximize the scores. whether you like it or not that’s just life🤷🏻♀️
@CheerFessions1
and it still was! one bad day doesn’t define them as a team or as athletes. it’s unfortunate this happened at worlds but they had a GREAT season and they should be so proud of themselves
@CheerFessions1
at one point kelsey was the youngest on the team, and it’s cute how the older girls are still protective over her! max at one point was close with all the ssx girls, and posting pics with her old best friend/deleting pics with ssx in them didn’t help the rivalry between them
@ssxszn
the even had had a tiktok account together and so many of their captions were like
#sisters
😕 i know everyone is caught up in the drama rn but in the long run this really sucks for both of them
tbh i never paid much attention to guardians but now that im listening to the mix, wtf?! other teams like to poke fun at their rivalries but this is just too extreme and so uncalled for. shame on those coaches
@CheerFessions1
and if you are talking about code black- it’s NT because it fits their current athletes the best (previous nt kids from cougers, tumbling worlds teams, etc). putting them in tumbling wouldn’t allow some of them to be on a team because that’s their only team for adults
this is SO important. coaches, i’m begging you to teach your athletes about concussion/spine injury protocol. just reviewing it for a couple minutes could help prevent disastrous permanent injuries
@Pamcakes_21
@cheerUPDATES
Also to all fellow cheerleaders, if your teammate is down with a possible head/neck injury, please do NOT try to pick them back up. Moving them may cause further injury.
@CheerFessions1
idek who is center for c4 but i’m sure they’re doing a great job! y’all love to blab for no reason before the season even starts, shut up
@CheerFessions1
maybe stop talking crap abt a first year team who has been nothing but kind to the cheer world?! they are the sweetest athletes who are working so hard, most of them have never been on a worlds team either
@starzsteel
but tbh it’s been lovely to see her come into her own on xss, and i’ve seen such a confidence boost and improvement in her tumbling. with a new set of kids and a year under their belt i think xss might have a much better shot this year
@CheerFessions1
she’s onto a new journey but that’s totally fine! also if she sticks with it, her experience with cheer and power tumbling could land her on an amazing d1 acro and tumbling team in college if she wants!!
@CheerFessions1
that’s pretty normal for any worlds teams in general. by the end of the year the roster isn’t the same as the beginning. you were placed on the team for a reason so i would still go and see if you have a shot!
@lagfanpage
a lot of girls come to college teams without a lot of coed experience, and she’s learning rn. our personal feelings abt her does not deny that she is very talented and would contribute (skill wise) to a college team
@CheerFessions1
you’re just as important to the team!! help in any way that you can (cheering, pep talks, giving them favors, etc). i promise coaches and teammates make note of your behavior. and for people on the mat- show some love to your alternates this week, it can be very hard for them
@sharkieslux
coaches that truly love for their kids are excited when they achieve their dreams, whether that be with a different gym or not! sometimes a new gym is needed to get to where the athlete wants to be, and it doesn’t have to be a negative thing at all!
@CheerFessions1
maybe email your coaches from an anonymous account? or find a way to privately tell them so it doesn’t trace back to you. it’s dangerous for them to be high at practice because it puts others and themselves at risk
@CheerFessions1
it wasn’t their day but they actually have tons of difficulty. it’s a brand new team and they’ve already upgraded a lot since last time. they are some of the most underrated group of kids i know, give them some time
@3PEATOFURDEFEAT
i think it was to encourage more ppl to join large coed bc large ag is still 31-38 but idrk tbh. doesn’t make sense why small senior requires way more athletes than large coed but ig it just shows how desperate they are to keep coed alive
@CheerFessions1
i’m not sure abt sot but specifically but some gyms have rules against it, probs for liability reasons. they might not want to be responsible or deal with expensive unis being damaged or lost
