Thoroughly enjoyed Rangasthalam. An old-fashioned masala revenge movie, set against a rural milieu, about an uprising against a oppressor leader, elevated by solid filmmaking & excellent ensemble cast. Ram Charan was just exceptional, what a great performance & characterisation!

303 (German) is one of my favourite movies of 2018. A lovely road movie about two strangers wandering & falling in love across beautiful european landscapes. The whole thing feels like my kinda romance. If you're a fan of Before trilogy, definitely check this out.

Enjoyed #Dunki . Decent to good first two acts, but the strong final hour is what makes the movie; it really hits all the right notes, especially the emotional moments. Also, the entire courtroom and ‘Main Tera Rashta Dekhunga’ sequence are vintage SRK!

Mike Mills's 20th CENTURY WOMEN makes me nostalgic for a time I never lived in. Such an original, warm & poignant movie, it transcends beyond the typical coming of age story. And what a soundtrack. This is my ultimate comfort film now, can't believe I discovered this gem so late.

Mike Flanagan did it again! THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR is a satisfying watch. An emotionally devastating, spooky, mysterious & carefully structured meditation on time, loss & memory. Watch it knowing it's a gothic romance and not strictly a horror story makes all the difference.

Re-watched CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. We don't talk about this movie enough. An absolute masterclass in direction; the staging, pacing, the immediacy & the use of music. Steven Spielberg's so great he can make masterpieces like this and they are sort of brushed off as "minor."

Netflix's Unbelievable is a well-made & gripping crime drama but also so heartbreaking. It's a police procedural which also explores the way victims of sexual assault are treated & how seriously we take them. Merritt Wever is SO good in it, as are Toni Collette & Kaitlyn Dever.
