Because their families were being physically attacked. They were protesting their family.
I have many videos of Uruguayan family members receiving treatment:
Police protecting Sergio Rochets father. Spoke to him at halftime and he was a class act. Throughout the night he was translating for security when they tried to talk to fans violating rules.
On top of that his father protected their family during the attacks and helped others.
This type of behavior at the Bank is so wrong on many levels in my opinion... If you're throwing liquid at the game, do not deliberately douse people in front of you. Have some respect for people. There are two examples from this game alone. (1/3)

Getting this on video twice is crazy. The acts look intentional and it's the only reason I am calling this out.
Not sure how I can spread awareness on this more other than just asking for people to retweet to spread the word... but some people need to find some respect.

Sure, you're throwing beer or whatever, just like everyone else, but you're effectively dousing 2-3 people instead of throwing it upwards. Pouring full cups on people in front of you is extremely disrespectful. (2/3)

Uruguayan families were passing their kids to us in the front row to hand to their dads on the pitch where it was safe. Sad seeing the narrative spun on Uruguay players saying they started this.
@chomakovg
Yeah. Prematch all of Uruguay’s players and bench were talking/waving to them behind us. I spoke to Sergio Rochets father at halftime and shared a couple of words. All the commotion happened from the Uruguay families trying to just get to the pitch and Colombia fans intervening

Tf do you mean not in the middle? I literally spoke Sergio Rochets family at halftime. They sat 2 rows behind me and were literally harassed as soon as the final whistle blew. I was grabbing kids and pulling them to safety. Get a grip bro
My Facebook feed is absolutely loving what Austin Dillon did right there.
My Facebook feed had pitchforks up in the air when Bubba Wallace bumped Bowman on the cooldown lap at Chicago.
Absolute jokes of fans that follow this sport
Ryan thought that since he filed his big boy taxes DOCUMENTING all of the exploited transactions he was safe from EA and the law 😭😭😭 actually admitting to a six figure crime on social media and to the IRS has to be the wildest thing I’ve ever seen

People think it’s the dream until you get in it and if even the slightest things aren’t right they weigh on you so much. Work turns into your life

Oh, and the pay isn’t great at all. If you’re salary there’s no OT pay. If you’re hourly a lot of places when you’re working OT it’s 1/2 pay. Yes, 1/2 pay.
People seem to be confusing the difference between throwing it upwards rather than throwing it forwards into people's backs... its deliberate. How is throwing beer directly onto someone's back showing excitement?
To my understanding that fight over there was started by Uruguay fans. The lower portion (where players were rushing to the stands) is where Colombian fans began blindly attacking their families since the fight already started
What happened behind me was started by Colombians.

It's terrifying Bryce didn't step up here and make that throw to Theilen. Or even worst case, make the coverage bite and hit a guy near the first down. Bryce is broken. Thought Canales was a QB savior.
Well it's official.. I can finally say I'm a NASCAR employee! I'm so stoked to be on this journey especially finding a job in an industry I'm extremely passionate about.
