🧵 It is with great sadness that we have learned that Professor Andrew Linklater passed away on Sunday, 5 March. We will remember him as a brilliant scholar, an inspiring teacher, a wonderful colleague and a kind and generous person. 1/3
On this day (25 April) in 1919, the first members of academic staff in the newly-established Department of International Politics in Aberystwyth took up their posts: Alfred Zimmern (Woodrow Wilson Chair) & Sydney Herbert (Lecturer). Happy Birthday Interpol!

Welcome Dr Dylan Marshall! Dr Marshall did his PhD in the Department and has taught over the past few years as a graduate teaching assistant. In semester two he joins us as a Lecturer teaching the undergraduate module Terrorism and Counterterrorism in the Modern World.
