Impact of partition on cities was such that Muslim population that was more urban saw big decline. Gujarat, Deccan apart if we start from UP, Lucknow had Hindus 54%, Muslims 43%, rest 3% in 1941. Muslim population dropped by over 15% points by 1951. Agra saw worst drop.. 1/n
