In past 5 yrs (1195 trading days), only 21 days has Nifty been at a deviation of ~6% or more from its mean of 50MA, with the max being 6.5%. Like had we closed at 12000 today, we would've been 6.5% away from 50MA. Currently at 5.9%, we are sitting in that last bucket (pic) (1/2)

Whenever I enter a trade, I tell myself this trade will give me a loss. If that loss makes me uncomfortable, it means my position size is bigger than it should be, so I modify the trade. Otherwise, I'm good to go. Once the fear of losses is over, what's the worry left? :)

Making profit in a backtest vs. making profit in live market are two very different things. Don’t just run after strategies. Aim to build your ability to execute and hold on to positions, with discipline. Else scaling up will always be a challenge.

2019 straddle selling study: Sold monthly straddle in indices at start of every expiry. Carried till end without any management and exited one day before expiry (Wednesday) Result: Both in terms of consistency and overall P&L, Nifty has outperformed Bank Nifty ⚡️

Khaana hai toh pura 😉 The greed of booking small profits often causes us to miss out on the biggest winners. However psychologically pleasing it may be to take quick profits, it just doesn't help in the long run. The key is to manage the downside and not worry about the upside.

If you're running a trading system, make sure you're following it consistently. The whole game is all about probabilities and with a system, even more so. What's also important is to not shut it down after a few losses, since you never know the next trade might be a mega winner.
