Just went to a card shop and traded in a Topps Chrome Judge for the @Topps MVP buyback. He grabbed some singles and a few packs and pulled this beauty! It’s /99 - one of the best pulls he’s had. Might not be huge $$ but he’s stoked!

She applied to one school, and she was accepted - not just to the school, but into the honors program with a pretty decent sized scholarship, too! She’s going to where my wife and I went and met. I’m so excited to see what her future holds! Congrats, Lucy!!

Today, my father passed away. We weren’t very close. We’ve had what I’d best describe as a strained relationship my entire life. But he was my dad. He took me to Fenway for the first time. He bought me my first pack of cards. He loved my kids. He drove me nuts, but I’ll miss him.

Survived dad’s services. Wore the tie tack my wife made me with dirt from Fenway. His friend, who’s a pastor, referred to him as a butthead and a dirt bag - nothing could be more accurate. He was staring at me when he said how hard a person he was to love. Glad it’s done.

So like 2 months ago, @Jared_Carrabis said if my daughter sent her card of him to him, he’d sign it for her. She finally did it last week, and before it’s even come back, she’s discussing how it’s gonna be on her dorm room wall this fall. Kid is a super fan haha.

Folks - my wife is absurd. She just completed an accelerated masters program in 2 years, while being a full time teacher and mom, and finished with a 4.0. She got a 100 on her capstone, which means she got a 100 on legit EVERY assignment she did over all classes. Amazing!!

THIS KID! For her NHS service project, she collected recipes from fellow NHS members and compiled them into a cookbook she designed, printed, and bound herself. At $7 a pop, she’s making about $6 profit on each, which she’ll donate to our local food pantry. She’s sold almost 70!

Man, nothing worse than having to deliver bad news to your kids. Our son didn’t get into the high school he applied to. He’s been asking literally daily for weeks if we’d heard back. He’d based his entire life around getting in. Poor kid is heartbroken. Ugh.

Spine is now done! Pretttttty happy with how it all turned out. The 1980 swoop banner (I know, it wasn’t a thing) was an image from an ‘86 pack, and I turned the 6 into a 0 haha.
