I feel a great sadness. 😞 Tom Price was a great man. Loved every interaction I have had with him in my six years inside HS sports. The local basketball scene lost one of the greats in Steuben County way too soon. My thoughts go to the Price Family and the entire J-T community.

It has not happened for Fillmore in their school history. Tonight, it happened. The Lady Eagles have done it. They are the #SectionV , Class D1 champions for the very first time ever, never trailing, as they hold off a late rally by Prattsburgh/Avoca in the 4th with a 42-34 edge.

Keep my Dad in your thoughts. He’s been very sick the past couple days. Had some surgery this morning after being Mercy flighted out to Rochester. It went very well, and now hopefully the high-power meds kicks the rest of the ass that remains left to kick. He’s got this. ❤️

The storybook season for Belfast will end on this night. What an amazing run for the Bulldogs, as #SectionVI , Class D champion Panama wins it by a 56-51 final here at Greece Athena. Bulldogs finish up their year with an 18-7 record, and their Class D2 title since 1940. #SectionV

And here they are for the first time in school history, the Avoca Tigers are bringing home a boys soccer championship. They move to 19-0 on the season, and head into the Class D State Qualifier on Tuesday where they’ll face Jasper-Troupsburg or C.G. Finney. #SectionV

It is a performance that will, without a doubt, go down in Bolivar-Richburg’s history books. Logan Bess has done the inevitable, as he provided a 2-hit shutout of top-seeded Lyndonville, striking out 17 Tigers batters to help the Wolverines go back-to-back in a 1-0 win. #SectionV

How about another championship for Allegany County. Bolivar-Richburg three-peats with a 9-2 win over York in the Class C2 Finals. It is the program’s EIGHTH in the last 15 seasons, dating back to their State Final Four run near the turn of the decade. Just. Incredible. #SectionV
