@VersusBasis
For some reason tiktok is full of fiddauthor hate and fiddlestan it's doing numbers in there, maybe that's why we don't see much art of them anywhere. But yeah, I really miss my boys ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
@igothitbyachair
I would also remind you of this, the fact that stanford describes his marriage as a "life or fear and COMPROMISE".. he describes it as something negative that isn't actually doing him any good
@PissToaster
Dude I find it extremely weird how drawing nsfw or suggestive art can make people immediately think you support stuff like that- like- ๐ญ๐ญ what the honest fuck
@VersusBasis
@ricksapologist
THANK. YOU. I love fiddlestan, but I don't understand the hype for a ship that doesn't have any type of sense in the canon ๐ญ๐ญ
@igothitbyachair
Yes! I also thought about that, Ford seems to be saying most of what he wrote from a position of what I also think is jealousy. But "compromise" is a strange word to add because it usually means sacrificing something of ourselves to reach an agreement..
@gorlicberd
What if he cared about Ford so much that all of his sense of identity was centered about him, and when trying to erase him from his mind, he lost an essential part of himself that turned him into old man mcgucket ๐
@cannibalistm
@VersusBasis
YES! I also feel like the fandom completely ignores how much religion and family matters to characters like fiddleford and how journal 3 is VERY explicit when it comes to how Ford and Fiddleford's relationship was more than just friendship
@igothitbyachair
Also, the fact that "try to forget" is written on the photo, but we are unaware of who wrote it, right? Even if it was fiddleford, why was he trying to forget his college years? Specifically something related to Stanford?
@cannibalistm
@VersusBasis
And the bunker having one bed, fiddleford's clothes being in the house even years after he left, LIKE WHY ARE PEOPLE IGNORING THIS???
@cannibalistm
@VersusBasis
And when fiddleford leaves, Ford describes his marriage as a life of "Fear and Compromise", it's really interesting to think about it when you realize compromise means sacrificing a part of ourselves to reach an agreement, and it's the word that churches use to describe marriage!
@igothitbyachair
Describing his marriage as something that isn't beneficial to Fiddleford at all opens a LOT of new interpretations. It is also interesting that the word compromise it's usually to refer to marriage itself by both the Christian churches and the Bible!
