In somewhat disbelief that
@ChoirOfKingsCam
will be my new choral home from September! Somewhat bittersweet - as I'm very sad to be leaving merton - but very excited to be moving to The Other Place later this year :)
@JavierMejiaC
Firstly, it’s not a competition. Secondly, there have been various studies that show early start times for adolescents/young adults can hinder performance, so it seems quite strange for an academic to advocate for a 6am start?
Had a nap on the train and woke up to realise my music has been playing out loud this whole time?? Everyone could hear Byrd’s Mass for Four Voices whilst I slept

Having lived in Cambridge for almost a month now, it’s safe to say that:
- The average IQ of someone walking down king’s parade/trinity st is about 10 and they’ve never seen a bike before
- The buses are worse than those in rural Leeds
Very fun few days performing and recording a new commissioned work for
@MertonCollChoir
!
Was very fun getting to be Herod in the Christmas Story by

I think it’s to do with how QS weights citations per faculty. St Andrews has a strong reputation for teaching, student satisfaction etc., but doesn’t really do much publishing. So it doesn’t rank highly. I don’t think UK rankings put much weight on publications/citations
So proud of my son Hubert for getting 4 A*s in his A levels. The African children he's building a well for this summer before Oxford don't know how lucky they are to have him. Good looking and popular too!
Most voters did not cast a vote in the local elections. Only 34% who did voted Labour. So why does Labour claim that shows people want their policy of an immediate General election?
My first recording as a conductor is now available!20 tracks of music for Christmas and winter, all by female composers.
Please do check it out and ideally buy a copy from

Fancied a pizza so instead of spending £40 on Domino’s I paid £19 for return flights to Milan on Cheap Flights Club and £8 for the best pizza I’ve ever had 😂😂
In need of some advice: where is a good place to get (continue) singing lessons in London? Hoping to finally do my ARSM Diploma that I’ve been putting off for years!
Applications are now open for 2025/26 choral awards!
Choral scholarships are given to talented singers who wish to develop their choral singing while at Oxford as a member of a college chapel choir.
Super normal that the owner of one of the largest social media platforms is sharing deepfake content to try and diminish a candidate in the US election
@FrankFWJH
If you’re willing to go to Clapham junction then Taverna Travestere is insanely good Italian food and not too pricey. The view is an old man pub so depends if that’s ur thing
We are so looking forward to premiering
