Frankly even if we upzone more parts of SF, it's still impossible to build. The average time for a project approval is 2 years with median time for an apartment over 10 units at 6 years. This actually violates our Permit Streamlining Act meant to help build housing more quickly.

As an American and a San Franciscan, I’m disgusted to see our country torn apart and manipulated by the same tired tropes that have plagued and weekend our democracy for generations: racial hatred, scapegoating, homo/transphobia, xenophobia… we must unequivocally condemn this.

Hate stems from the same root & the folks inciting violence against Jews, LGBTQ people & others are joined at the hip. Here we see joint homophobic-antisemitic protests, eg, Nazis joining with homophobes & Proud Boys joining the homophobic-transphobic “Gays Against Groomers.”

We are in a homelessness crisis, a statewide housing crisis, an affordability crisis - and the BOS continues to block housing from being built. San Francisco deserves better. This is why it’s important to pass statewide legislation that will limit discretionary review

We need to rethink our approach to industry. I will work to bring in new industries that have on-site workers and be an advocate for climate tech and biotech. I will bring in jobs that will keep SF a hub of innovation & bring in patronage to support our small businesses.

I know this, working as Chief of Staff to @MattHaneySF fighting the fight. I helped to increase $1M in funding to the Dept of Environment. I fought to restore our 27-Bryant and 31-Balboa bus lines, and championed the largest expansion of protected bike lanes.
