Does anyone else do a double-take when you see things in movies/TV like handshakes, hugs, big-group gatherings etc?
Like, those things make me pause a beat when watching them during this pandemic world.
Jose Miranda homers in his 1st career at-bat *at* Target Field on the 7-year anniversary of Eddie Rosario homering in his 1st MLB at-bat (at Target Field.)
Videoboard at Target Field acknowledges the Minnesota Wild team in attendance today.
Marcus Foligno takes the opportunity to stand up and crush a beer.
The baseball hat is back on. I'm excited to say that I'll return to in-game social media.
Many thanks to the Twins for bringing me aboard. I'm grateful.

This is one of the most asked questions I've heard this year, from hockey and non-hockey fans:
"Why don't they have nicknames?/When will they have nicknames?"
Answer: August. They'll announce them in August.
Minnesota went 0-7. They were down to a must-win game and hadn't scored a playoff goal yet.
Then, they won three straight games and finished the playoffs 6-2 to win the championship.
Final 2018 regular-season game at Target Field: Joe Mauer in catching gear.
Final 2019 regular-season game at Target Field: Nelson Cruz hits his 400th career home run.
After the final out as the Twins secured their first postseason series victory in more than 20 years, I teared up.
In 2006, when the Twins had an amazing team and were still swept in the ALDS by the A's, I teared up, too.
The happy tears tonight were so much better. 🥲
Breaking: A professional Minnesota sports team won a game today.

8-2 at TRIA Rink.
2 goals each for Audra Richards and Allie Thunstrom. Plus, Pezon and Schammel, Martinson and Baldwin.
Leave it to the ladies. 😉

My grandma, Mary Lou, died yesterday, just shy of 90.
If I can imagine... I'll bet she made sure her hair was perfectly done and she was dressed in her best to reunite with grandpa and her many friends for a nice dinner upstairs.
xoxoxoxo, Grandma
Ending this birthday on a good note, with cupcakes and flowers from my two favorite people, mom and dad.
Thanks to all my pals for the birthday wishes. Hugs to you all. 💜

As the stats about Minnesota's major men's sports teams fly, while also giving props to the champion Lynx, please don't forget:
@WhitecapsHockey
won the NWHL championship their first year in the league, advanced to the title game in 2020 and played in the title game this year.
To sum up this Twins season so far:
Extra-inning loss on Opening Day
Coldest game in Twins history
Kepler’s walk-off homer
Mauer’s 2,000th hit
3 games snowed out, 4 postponed on 1st homestand
2 games in Puerto Rico
5 scheduled off days
A 2-1 win in 16 innings
PWHL Minnesota wins!
A 4-1 victory over top-seed Toronto in game 5.
No. 4 seed Minnesota overcomes the 0-2 deficit to win the series, 3-2. They advance to the finals vs. Boston.
Two PPGs the difference tonight, when special teams have been a struggle all season for MIN.
Edina wins the state title:
1984: Marty Nanne, game-winning goal in title game
2014: Tyler Nanne, 4 assists in title game
2024: Lou Nanne's final tourney broadcast
Got home all ready to try out my costume for Trunk or Treat tomorrow when I heard about Matthew Perry.

One of the hats I’ve worn for the past 6 baseball seasons was removed today as the IGC social media program with MLB was eliminated.
Working in this role was such a blessing. Meeting so many new people and colleagues resulted in a lot of great friendships.

A ton of club/franchise/MLB records shattered.
Even in the 3rd-place game, players don't want to leave the ice after their last game of the season/high school career.
Warroad, which def. Mahtomedi 4-1 for third, had a few players take those extra moments. Mr. Hockey finalist Carson Pilgrim was the last one to leave the ice.
Grateful to be back covering the girls hockey state tournament for a 10th consecutive season. 😊

PWHL Minnesota won tonight and has made an impressive turnaround playoff run, one win away from the championship.
The Timberwolves are in the WCF for the first time in 20 years.
Excitement should be at an all-time high. But I've already seen too many "aw, MN sports 🤷♀️" takes.
The hustle of the

freelance life rolls on. But my IGC social role with atTwins has been eliminated.
I'm grateful for the hundreds of baseball games I had the opportunity to work. I'm even more grateful for all the friends and colleagues I met along the way.
Twitter, a Tweet from 20 hours ago (telling me an AL pitching is warming up in the pen) should not show up when scrolling my news feed. I don't care if an account I follow "liked" it.
Cover a hockey game, then take yourself out for a nice dinner.
I'd say that's a good freelancer-style holiday party for

Twins even the series with the Yankees with a 8-1 win.
Jeffers and Buxton crush home runs.
Jose Miranda with a 3-for-4, 3-RBI night.
6 Twins players had RBIs.
Chris Archer goes 5 innings, gets his 1st win in a Twins uniform.
Five years ago, the Minnesota Whitecaps were Isobel Cup champs in their first season in the NWHL.
Can Minnesota (still with Lee Stecklein and Kendall Coyne Schofield) do it again in the PWHL Finals?
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who follows my
