Grok 2 tries to draw the US Presidents, in reverse chronological order.

Not bad. I'm 40, I just paid off my house in the city 13 years early, and closed on some land near a lake in the country that I expect to have paid off in a third as much time. I have excellent credit, good health, and I expect to retire in my early 50's.
@Geekdaddy75
Gilligan is always causing the Castaways to miss a chance to be rescued. I suspect he's secretly a demon, and they're all in Hell for sins like Pride, Wrath, Greed, Lust, etc... Gilligan represents Gluttony, but I think he's actually the Demon tormenting them.
@InternetH0F
I heard a variation of that joke on the American sitcom Two And A Half Men.
"You know what, Norman? You look a lot like my fifth husband."
"Really? How many times you been married?"
"Four."

What am I missing? I said I have a house in the city, land at the lake, a job, no kids or wife. What you want, a detailed portrait on an X post?
@engineers_feed
My van shuts its engine off when I come to a complete stop, then starts back up again when I take my foot off the break, unless I press a button to disengage that feature every time I drive. It's the dumbest feature in automotive history. I can only assume California is to blame.
@ChameleonCir
@Ringwatchers
I've never heard of "Common Sense Skeptic" before now, so I went and checked out his content.
Why do people who drape themselves in terminology associated with objective and rational thought always end up being severely biased, dishonest, and disrespectful?
@akafacehots
I don't want anybody to be arrested if there isn't enough evidence implicating them as a knowing participant in a crime.
If people could get arrested just for being a friend of a criminal, then our prisons would be even more overcrowded than they already are.

@EdKrassen
Hank is right. I never voted for Trump, because I thought he spent money too recklessly and chose not to defend whistleblowers & journalists, but I was very impressed by his lack of a filter, his willingness to fire people, and reference for diplomacy over military imperialism.
@stats_feed
Definitely North America. Nearly all of them depend on inventions from the other continents. The inventions from those other continents are foundational to civilization.

I'm quite content. Whether you call that happiness or not, is up to you. I spend probably 90%+ of my time alone, though I wouldn't say I'm lonely. I can only take dealing with other people for short amounts of time anyway. I don't even have or want a pet.
@engineers_feed
I just can't imagine a situation where a good engineer wouldn't just cut one of the ropes in half, so that she could retain half a rope after the exercise for future potential uses.
@gunsnrosesgirl3
I avoid talking about my future plans as though they are certain to be carried out. Instead, I use language like "I'm thinking of doing..." "I want to eventually..." and "I'm hoping to..."
I've read that this strategy is the opposite of what people should do if they want to get
@DisturbingClipz
I find the Disney employee to be in the right in this case. If you're on someone else's private property, you have no reasonable expectation that you'll be allowed to use it & the equipment on it for purposes that are not agreed to by the property owner. It's Romeo's fault.
@gunsnrosesgirl3
This was all considered. With 12 months, the seasons are all three months long, and this is much more useful for an agricultural society than the lunar cycles are.
What should be different is when the year starts and ends, and which day is leap day.

As someone who IS me, I can report that if you were me, you would not be afraid of the future. I've grown very much accustomed to and comfortable with having no dependents. Apparently long-term practice becomes one's second nature comfort zone. Neuriplasticity is a blessing.
@stats_feed
The eradication of the definitions of "woman" "girl" "female" "man" "boy" and "male" and along with it, the trend of mothers permanently disrupting the biological growth of their own children, and the legally enforced intrusion of men into women's sports.

I didn't go to college, but I did graduate high school. 22 years later I answer 9-1-1 calls, and I just paid off my mortgage 13 years ahead of schedule. No kids. No pets. No significant other. No major health concerns. No complaints. Thinking of starting a garden this year.
@RealJamesWoods
I was a big fan of Support Your Local Sheriff as a kid. Also Fire In The Sky is a great film. He was born not too far from my hometown. Oklahoma's proud of him.
@TRHLofficial
$12.50 would have been 50 silver 1947 quarters. Each silver quarter has a melt value of about $5.14 today, which means her $12.50 in quarters would be worth $257.
So we can estimate, based on that, that a week worth of the same groceries today may also cost $257.

I've met old men who had kids & wives & told me they wish they'd taken my route. Old widowed grandads who've said I'm smart. I don't know about that, but I suspect the secret to happiness is not the lifestyle you live, but how frequently you recognize & appreciate your blessings.
@theDoc568

I don't know. I've never been good at predicting my own behavior years in advance, but I've gotten pretty good at understanding how I react emotionally to situations, and based on that, I'm pretty confident that I'll be okay.

There's no such thing as good revenge. As the old saying goes, βan eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." The best revenge is the absence of it.

I'll find out when I get there. I count my blessings impulsively, and am not prone to dwell on missed opportunities. I doubt that this personality trait will fade. I have an almost off-putting tendency to reflexively accept and make light of even the most traumatic circumstances.

He was the spirit of a long-dead glutton. The longer spirits have been incorporeal, the more they lose their humanoid form and begin to resemble orbs.

It's hard to think of a movie, let alone a sci-fi movie that's better put together than Back To The Future.... The writing, the actors, the editing, the soundtrack, the effects, and even the title compliment each other better than any other movie I've seen.
@joebarnard
The "Bobiverse" trilogy is the closest I've seen. But also check out these five Rama books by Arthur C Clarke. Some great hard sci-fi. If it's imaginative epic alien encounter books you're after, I also recommend John Varley's Gaea trilogy.

I don't usually regret my decisions regardless of what they are, and the regrets I do have aren't all that bad. They're quite minor, actually.
@fentasyl
Google went from being the most convenient way to find information online, to being the most convenient way to find AI-generated woke propaganda online.
@RealJamesWoods
Parents of minors who get convicted of burglary or stealing cars should lose their eligibility for welfare funds.
That would compell most of them to make sure their kids obey the law, and respect other people's property.

I think a more likely scenario would be George spends most of the episode persuading 10 jurors to find the defendant not guilty, to impress the one woman juror who's against convicting anybody. And then, in the end, the now exonerated defendant kidnaps that juror.
@engineers_feed
I'm gonna say... how frequent mini ice ages are. Like every few hundred years, there randomly isn't a summer for like one to five years straight, due to volcanos or meteor strikes.
I cannot imagine how a nuclear-armed civilization with mass international air travel would cope.
@stats_feed
In the US, the flesh of store-bought apples used to turn brown when you cut or bit into them.
They don't anymore.
They've been genetically modified not to produce the browning enzyme.
@jessica_kirsh
There are a lot of people who still trust the TV to tell them the truth, and there are a lot of people who have been indoctrinated by academia and some unions to always trust Democrats and distrust Republicans.
@engineers_feed
Zero doesn't exist. Neither does one. Neither does infinity.
But the symbols and their hypothetical meanings are useful for communicating and calculating the sizes, shapes, and behaviors of things that actually do exist.

Sure, I might consider it. I have considered it before. I might consider it again. This lifestyle is not a commitment. It's a convenience. My history with girlfriends is that I don't try to retain them. Most people don't want that in a partner.
