its bc hyv will never allow their marketable characters to be in love w other marketable characters or even npcs for fear of losing their playerbase. thats literally the reason why this book wasnt released bc you cant say guizhong & zhongli werent lovers if you read it.

not a hot take but it’s sad how NPCs (including historical figures in weapons/lore) are allowed to be more fleshed out with clear good and bad traits (not good traits and bad traits spun to be good), love interests, etc. bc there is no worry about how players will perceive them
