I used to be afraid of charging too much for commissions. What helped set a price was the following question: What amount would ensure I'm motivated to deliver the best quality work I can provide? This protects both your own and the commissioner's interests.

Exactly. I also do the following: - removing 3d artifacts (clipping clothing, unrealistic skin bends, unwanted reflections) - Emphasize highlights and shadows - Optical effects (haze, chromatic aberration, motion blur) And most importantly adding a watermark 😏 [insert Patrick

Sometimes people are surprised I'm not using Blender... In fact, I use Daz. It's: - restrictive - probably outdated in many ways - dependant on purchased content etc... But damn is it quick, fun, and beginner-friendly for creating smut.

Biggest mistake I made when I started accepting commissions: ❌ Promising a 24-48 hour delivery. I was sure the commissioner would be thrilled to receive their commission this quickly. Instead, it just comes across like you rushed the work. ✅ Quality over speed, always.

I used to overcomplicate lighting in Daz. Nowadays I use a quality HDRI from Polyhaven or just 1-2 linear point lights. It helped me get more natural results and taught me about the interplay of light and dark.

Introduce yourself properly. Often I've been too shy to walk up to someone new at work and introduce myself. This creates a wall of unfamiliarity and people reflect your shyness right back at you. As a result, it takes way longer to get on friendly terms.

(5/7) Just as easily as you slot in your work hours, you allocate blocks of time for your creative work. A rule that seems to be true enough for me: if I don't schedule it, it ain't gonna happen. (get distracted easily you feel me)
