apparently the trademark BBC had of "LOONA Chuu" (이달의 소녀 츄) was temporarily seized by MyMusicTaste on the 21st of November 2023 in order to pay off BBC's debts to them 😭
ARTMS 230418 updates:
Jinsoul: shared that they're back in Seoul.
Heejin: made a poll on Fab for dinner recs, the fire chicken sauce exploded and her carpet got stained.
Kim Lip: crashed the car into a wall while getting out of the parking lot. Coffee was spilled by the staff.
3 days after MMT seized the trademark, BBC chose to drop the case against Chuu's mom and post about it on the youtube community feed as an act of "kindness"
I think the real reason why they dropped it is cuz they're broke and can't afford to sue anyone and everyone right now

just to clarify the BBC appealing situation:
all the girls (11/12) except chuu have won their FIRST hearing out of multiple hearings. the courts gave them a preliminary injunction which is a temporary solution until the complete lawsuit is over which takes awhile
but chuu...
From what I gathered on the Seoul Central District Court website, BBC owes MyMusicTaste 100,000,000 KRW ($77,000 USD).
This is the timeline of that in both Korean and poorly translated English. If anyone can help me translate the Korean part properly I'd be grateful

chuu won her lawsuit fully. she's completely over and done with the trial but now BBC is appealing it to a higher court which may or may not accept the appeal request
so basically, assuming what the source is true, chuu is trying to suspend parts of her contract in order to get more creative freedom in the solo promotions she does. she won a preliminary injunction in Dec 2021, which means that the court is giving chuu this freedom...
T/N: Wikitree isn't a respectable source; here's generally what it says though
From a Wikitree report today, Chuu won a partial victory in her injunction request against BBC to suspend effects of her exclusive contract; a court recently cited this request from Dec '21

on top of all that, this comeback is a cheap way for the company to raise money for the upcoming lawsuits so any money orbits spend will be used against the girls in court
(repost from my main account since i'm shadowbanned)
my theory? the girls are being punished for destroying the moon in so what. they're forced to start their timeloop all over again from the beginning... here's how

the translation in red is added by me after translating it on google translate so if anyone who can understand korean can confirm/deny bc this is so....
1) loona isn't nugu
2) even if the admins had it out for loona (which they don't), they're spending their personal time running a free page to promote underrated artists they don't owe you or anyone else jack shit
stop being entitled to other people's free time
like notice how they jumped to posting this but never posted abt ARTMS or loossemble when they were set to debut? im telling yall the admins if nugupromoter fucking hate loona specifically

the only evidence that she changed companies was refuted. and that same company was in a scandal for lying about stuff like this before.

Kyle Sharp is a KKK member that fucks his own sister. If it isn't true, it could be seen as racist. But if it is true, the state of the world is worse than it seems.
Coco (Vivi's modelling friend) is still active on Instagram (@/cococherry_haha). She follows loossemble's Instagram and has liked every vivi post! She really has been a vivi supporter since day 1!! 😭😭

only two members debuted as minors and it was hell for them. THINK a little bit, if it's true half of the members debuted as minors, then orbits should be taken more seriously because we know what our girls went through in this industry. this isn't a fan war jfc
since when do nevies suddenly care about islamophobia? i vividly remember you guys suspending random twitter accounts just for calling out idle's islamophobic actions

why do you have a stick shoved so far up your ass you feel the need to spread negativity to other people on the internet for no reason whatsoever.
did your parents not want you as a child so you project that energy towards random people?
@dahuynfav
BBC still does get the money, the trademark only applies to the phrase "Loona" in any promotional branding (aka merch, advertisements, etc)
The copyright (the ownership of the art, aka the music in this case) is still BBC's
