yall love to talk about the members influence on jungkook, but forget influences go both ways.
yall love to talk about how members took care of jk, but forget that so does jk of them.
a thread about how jungkook advises, shapes, teaches, helps and takes care of all BTS members.
jungkook's mom is a legend. she approached her future husband, despite social norms frowning upon this. she does sports climbing and took jungkook to climb walls when he was young. and despite sk society putting a lot of pressure on young people to excel academically, she refused
to put that kind of pressure on him, and rather taught him the importance of being ethically good instead.
she did what she thought was right for her son, rather than what was expected from society. i have the utmost respect for her.
Jungkook made a special artwork for fans.

Please do your job, and sue the people responsible for slandering and lying about your artist.
We expect swift and effective action be taken.
Just like you did when it was your own skin on the line, with the jtbc incident. Thank you.

when hobi lost his shoe during a performance, jungkook noticed that something was wrong right away. he kept calm and took care of the situation the first chance that he had and made sure that hobi got his shoe back.
yall either love to romanticise this moment or make jokes about it, but the fact that nj said that jk was his 2nd chance is very telling about how bts sees jungkook. jungkook's addition to the group was a game changer.
when jk was sick at the chile concert, nj knew they’d have a big problem if jk was unable to participate. jungkook is a pillar. he helped make that group, he helped shape that group. from group dynamics, to all creative works, jungkook had a hand in shaping that.
jungkook produced 2 ot7 songs. what many ppl don't know is that he and yoongi are the only ones that have prod by credits for ot7 songs.
a producers job is to oversee all aspects from start to finish of a song's making. jk was in charge and made all the decisions on the songs.
idk about you. but I just learned that Jungkook was having a very hard time 2 years ago to the point he completely shut down towards other members. so I'm kinda?? why armys main past time rn is making jokes about jk crying in the rain. not to mention the disrespect from shippers
jungkook is responsible for making the guides to bts songs. it's the version of the song that guides bts when they go to the studio to record
producers have complemented jk on his ability to understand their vision of the song and implementing it
since about 2015 there has been an undercurrent to undermine Jungkook in the fandom. a problem that has been ignored and denied. I know for a fact that many of your first instinct will be to shut me up, so I’m asking yall to keep an open mind and listen. this is happening.
A former bodyguard who toured with BTS raved over how amazing and talented Jungkook is, and about how he’s the most talented. JK makes an incredible impression not just on the audience but on the ppl who personally have worked with them behind the scenes.
Jungkook has a lot to give. He is intelligent. His introspective and thoughtful side is undervalued and often goes unnoticed or forgotten.
So here’s a thread with thoughts, feelings and anecdotes that Jungkook has shared with us that are absolute treasures.
by how jungkook interacts with the producer and the collaborating artist, it is clear that when bts make music, jungkook isn't someone who sits back and let's others tell him what to do, he is a member who has a creative vision, who pursues it, in an assertive manner. ++
when bts read each others fortune cards, and one if the fortune cards said that the person will help friends and family when they are in trouble, yoongi said he thought it was jk. and when it said to not to sacrifice themselves to much, jin promptly said he thought it was jk ++
while it turned out to be hobi's fortune card in the end, it shows how the boys know jungkook as someone who always help his friends and family when they are in trouble, and that he sacrifices himself a lot for other people.
in this run bts episode, jungkook is assertive and instructs namjoon on how to proceed. he thinks strategically about how completing the task the quickest way possible.
(from 18:00 on-wards) in the video is when they complete their mission
he is a member with a lot of creative input. and his experience show.
i've added 2 video links here below. one of him discussing his collab stage with cp, and one where he is working with a producer.
The World Cup is not just a sporting event. It’s the most watched, anticipated, and celebrated event with unrivaled cultural impact. Around 5 Billion (more than half the world population) will be watching.
The World Cup will also be Jungkook’ debut stage as a soloist. A Legend!
amazing, jungkook has been in the public eye for 8 years, every move under scrutiny by millions and he is still the most unproblematic artist ever. ppl desperate for his downfall have to resort to fabricating rumors, based on other fabricated rumors. that’s his level. untouchable
How does a fanbase manage to make 3 playlists with around 150 songs, and include various solo work of each member... but forget to include any of Jungkook’s in every single playlist??? They really gonna stream a Samsung ad before they’d stream Jungkook’s songs
Ok. Let’s dissect the (selective) outrage.
Jk China’s projects are known to be grand. They also include many charity projects. And they do not profit a cent from any project. Those are all gifts to Jungkook. They promote him and his name in positive ways. Something artists ++
There are a lot of misconceptions about Jungkook’s taste in music.
So here is a much needed educational thread on Jungkook’s taste in music and song recommendations.
[This thread includes links to many of the songs Jungkook has recommended. 🔊🎶]
They said Jungkook basically produced Jamais Vu. Yet he got no official credit for it. Let that sink in. And think about all the other work Jungkook does on songs for BTS but also the members solo work that goes uncredited, like for example the guides.
Ppl who resent Jungkook must have it real tough this cb. Jungkook released the SOTY. Build the most beautiful Bridge ever. Cemented his position as one of the best vocalists in the industry. He's getting recognized by locals for his vocals, dance and for My Time being a legit bop
I extended the cut of Jungkook's run in Butter to prevent looping the run. I also added a timer. It proves Jungkook sings 6 notes in under 1 second (24 frames = 1 second). And 5 note changes in the middle happen from frame 3 to frame 17, which is within 0.6 seconds
Maybe it’s not deep, but the way Pdogg passed on the message, low-key bugged me.
Telling Jungkook his abilities impress a veteran global superstar, who has worked with the best of the best, vs being told he is doing amazing while recording a song, are two different compliments.
I’m not saying this because he’s my bias or because of any 'equal treatment' demand. But because it’s what’s obvious to any observer not clouded by outdated army narratives. Anyone who only names Jihope as best dancers, excluding Jungkook, in 2021, can’t be taken seriously.
the time when j-hope revealed that Jungkook basically produced and directed Jamais Vue, but Jungkook is not credited at all, is evidence beyond a doubt, that bighit’s way of crediting is neither merit-based nor reflects the actual song writing/composing/production done on a song.
many big bts fanbases stopped pushing dreamers after just 1 week, leaving the heavy lifting to solo fb.
sorry but no. a fandom can’t have it both ways: denying space/credit to peaceful solos/non-ot7s, while the focus & resources of the fandom are grossly inequitably allocated
Jungkook may be the maknae, but he clearly has a lot of say and contribution in BTS's creative process.
Jungkook is assertive where it counts. He took over the direction and production of Jamais Vue deciding which parts to cut. The behind the scenes footage working with C.P. ++
most male idols when asked to do gg dance, fool around, are embarrassed and mock the feminine moves. but jungkook always just focuses on the moves and does them with dedication and with respect. that’s my feminist king.
when jungkook had to wrestle, he used his opponents tactics against him after seeing him wrestle in the prev round. jungkook has always been very smart. not only does he learn fast, he adapts to new situations quickly. everything a learning opportunity.
"At debut, you expressed the desire to become an artist, rather than just singer. How do you view your journey from then to where you are now in terms of artistic growth and development?"
Jungkook's vocal run in Love Maze was around 1.5s long, going through 8 notes. However, all the note changes happened within 0.8s. That's a rate of 10 notes /s. This means Jungkook is technically capable of singing 10 notes in a single second. Let that sink in!!
@agustxddaeng
it's not just the intensity of it, it's how incredible jungkook's execution of the dance moves are. take a look at the movements that his torso makes here, this take exceptional body control
Many have this image of Jungkook, that he is entirely dependent on his hyungs.
JK wrote/composed a song? Namgi must have helped.
Solo Activity? No, he doesn’t want to be separate from his hyungs.
...
- But really he's the most independent spirit. - a thread
This moment spoke an untold truth.
Bighit had character profiles written. Jin guessed that the person described as “sacrifices himself”, had to be JK.
Most armys however only associate this image with a made up story of how JK was pouty bc there was no Banana milk.
Can this be a learning experience for Armys? Not to apply one rule to all? Not assuming Jungkook’s feelings?
I know I would be embarrassed beyond words if I had harassed Qatari Armys for cheering for JK on set, called them saesangs, just for their visits to be v appreciated ++
"Your journey to songwriting started early on. Many of the skills you acquired, to compose and write better songs are self-taught. Tell us more about this journey. What drove you? And what were the obstacles you encountered along the way? And where do you consider yourself?"
Jungkook observed the physics, deduced which was the best method, applied his knowledge: On the first try a success. And then taught the others how to do it. And they did: with success. Genius.
can we now lay that myth that jk didn't do well in school to rest. the only subject he didn't do well in was english. yet his pronunciation still manages to be flawless. AND he got all those top grades while working his asss of for bts & army. full schedule. jk is intelligent asf
many armys started to grow jealous of him because he got so much praise for being as great as he is. Many started to resent him for taking on so many roles in bts and getting as much attention as he did. They felt that didn’t allow their biases to shine enough
“if you’ve been privileged your whole life, equality seems like oppression to you. ☕️ 👀 “
- @//naija0329 about Jungkook
you can’t reasonably expect people to believe that this person actually respects jungkook
'Jamais Vue' was released more than an year ago. And we would have never found out that Jungkook basically produced it, if it hadn't been for Jin, Jhope and Jungkook casually talking about the song for festa. This begs the question, how many other songs did Jungkook produce we +
[rant/thinking] i‘m curious what kind of contract bts have with bighit/hybe and if they all have the same one. for one, how tf do you explain the discrepancy of the whole kr press going wild for jk and his world cup song, while bh/hybe is acting like it’s none of their business
how one treats the staff is commonly believed to be a good measure of one’s true character.
if it's bh staff, restaurant staff, or staff at an event, jungkook treats them with great respect for their work and person --
Jungkook has a heart of gold. there' no doubt. ✨✨
i know we make lighthearted jokes about b/t/s ignoring Paradise.
but some tiktok armys are falsely accusing j/k of hating Paradise as the only one in bts, and are dragging him for it with malicious and rude undertones.
please report.
Reminder that as early as 2013, Jungkook had been seeking to improve his song-writing, composing, production know-how. But bighit had repeatedly ignored his requests for lessons, so that Jungkook was forced to teach himself (and through online tutorials).
"In fact, many of your abilities are self-taught. Is being an autodidact a personal preference or do you choose this way of learning new abilities for other reasons?"
Jungkook in a letter to his future self: "No matter what happens and what you might become, all I want is for you to be happy."
cc JK_Glitter
Yes, Jungkook, this is what we wish for you too.

you can’t deny the strangeness of the optics of how between all the official accounts that promote bts, you have exactly 1 tweet about Jungkook singing at World Cup opening. other agencies would be promoting the shit out of it, and you know it.
"You directed BTS’s music video for Life Goes On. How did you learn to direct? Is it another self-taught expertise? Or did you have some formal guidance?"
jk is exceptionally talented in everything he puts his mind to. so he took on may roles since debut. In his first few years in bts he didn’t just have the most lines, had a center position in most choreographies, was the occasional rapper, he also stood out in many other
"People who worked with you describe you as someone who learns quickly and accomplishes tasks in the shortest time, yet outstandingly. How has being quick on the uptake helped you in your career? And can it have downsides, like for example boredom?"
“HYBE is not only supporting [BTS] solo careers …“, CEO HYBE
We know for a fact that hybe did not give, even the bare-minimum support to Jungkook’s Dreamers.
So either Jungkook is not BTS, or the CEO of Hybe is lying to the investors. Which is it?
And many saw in him a threat to their biases popularity. But since army has had a policy of condemning overt hate against members, they had to find more subtle ways to express their resentment, to vent their frustrations and find other channels to put him down.
the unbridled joy in Jungkook's eyes when he sings. imagine loving something so much like Jungkook loves singing and being absolutely brilliant at it. how beautiful is that
22k ppl, i feel like crying.
this isn’t about arguing terminology. it’s about the fact that jungkook hasn’t got a comeback trailer, not 1 solo mv, as only bts members. and yall acting like it’s the biggest crime to want him to have that.
if this is jjk1 and your first response is to screech “favoritism”, after 8 years of jk having nothing in his own name and no solo mv, whereas there’s other members with multiple mvs, countless collabs, mixtapes, in their own name .. I’m going to personally chase you off this app

"In 2017 you finally got a physical room to house your production studio in, the Golden Closet Studio. What did it take to get to that point? And how did it feel to finally get a physical studio room of your own?"
Jungkook: “Effort makes you. You will regret someday if you don’t do your best now. Don’t think it’s too late. But keep working on it. It may take time, but there’s nothing that gets worse due to practising.”
-BTS begins program book
he had the most fans, got the most praise, won almost every game in those shows bts does for armys, was the member most people knew about first, he got held up as the gold standard, the ideal, the one you have to beat to prove yourself …
"You have branched out your studio over the years to include a video production branch (Golden Closet Film), a photography branch (Golden Closet Photo), and a drawing branch (Golden Closet Sketch). What inspired you to those decisions? And any plans for future branches?"
i’ve seen a couple videos on t*kt*k blowing up about these vocals. many are starting to realize they have been underestimating Jungkook’s vocals. they are late, but welcome to the party
