Per our journalist briefing page concerning the K12 database: The next problem is that their definition of “school shooting” is impossibly broad. Some examples of what could constitute a “school shooting” in their database includes: * Brandish a gun at a nighttime football game

Weak gun laws = more gun deaths. While Congress has failed to pass a universal background check bill, at least 20 now require background checks on all or most gun sales, including on private sales. Minnesota and Michigan were the latest states to enact such laws, passing them in

While assembling a journalists' guide to gun policy information, we created a better version of a chart concerning accidental (unintentional) gun deaths over time. We knew the rate had been plunging, but this helps visualize the age groups. This drop occurred despite the average

@K12ssdb Looks like gerrymandering has come to firearm policy propaganda. Here is a better way of illustrating the statistical reality, down to the county level factoring gun homicides in excess of what the local population would otherwise predict.

Sorry, no. The myth about most Cartel guns coming from the U.S. has been widely disassembled. Most cartel armament (including RPGs, land mines, etc.) are left-over from Soviet-supplied revolutionary groups.

It’s crazy to me how much of this migration is driven by cartel violence and no one talks about how most guns recovered in Mexico from crimes come from the US especially from states with weak gun laws like Texas. If you want less refugees stop creating them.

Sounds like someone invented a new definition for "hate crime" like they did for "mass shooting". "There were 7,262 hate crime incidents involving 8,673 offenses ... 30% were crimes against property." So, ignoring crimes against property, we see at most 5,083 hate crimes, and

Whoever K12 hired for their social media propaganda is really bad at their job. They appear to lack any real knowledge about gun shows. 1] The vendor tables are likely all FFLs. They do background checks. 2] Many of the tables don't sell guns. 3] The rigors are so tight that
