, if you list AR/VR and data science as possible work areas for designers, you should *really* also list type design, one of the actual building blocks of visual design.
We don’t care about “what you have down your pants”. But we live in a world of systemic racism and sexism.
And so we do care about fighting systemic inequality and creating a more level playing field for all. Because it is the right thing AND it makes for better type design.
I disagree with this. Who cares what you have down your pants? Or how “you identify yourself”?
The only thing that matters is if your work is special in any way.
