November will mark 2 years Of learning Azure for me.
- Azure Architect Expert, Azure Devops, Azure Development Exams.
- Top 50 Azure blog
- Apart of 20 of the best Microsoft Azure influencers on Twitter today
- also an Azure MVP - not bad for a full-time dev manager.
I paid over £3000 going to
#MSIgnite
but was it worth it - with out a doubt, after 2 days it was worth every penny.
I’ll be going next year for sure. Made so many new friends I’ve lost count, networking was key for me, I’ll look at the content later, nights out we’re 👌👍
Hiring tip: I don’t interview people I have conversations with them. Hired a team recently and every single one of them is exactly what I was looking for, good people who work well with others and know their stuff. I barely asked any technical in-depth questions.
Last night I passed the DP-201 Designing an Azure Data Solution exam which leaves the DP-200 exam left to do before the end of the year - let's do this!
Beyond grateful to be renewed as an Azure MVP for the third year

MVP Summit starts tomorrow and excitement level is at 0, which is where I am at right now, was the same for Ignite and online content in general. I think I’m need of a reboot.
November 2017 I knew zero Azure - now I’m an Azure MVP - I think I’ll blog about my journey this week from my hotel room - if anyone wants advice or has questions please just ping me 👍
A while back someone’s reached out to me on LinkedIn asking for job advice after being made redundant from Dell. I bumped into that person today at the

Would there be any interest in a series called AKS beginner to Expert with Gregor and Richard?

If you’ve never been to
#MSIgnite
and always fancied going, find a way to go next year, it will blow your mind in every way possible the first time you go.
Studied my backend off whilst on my travels and just managed to scrape a pass in the AZ-700 Networking exam - still a huge amount to learn but I'll take it.
Real world azure conference with speakers talking you through solution choices, what works what didnt work etc - No big names, just real solutions from the people implementing at the dare I say front line.
My dads complaining about missing the
