OK football fans, as some of you know I was trying to collect all of the USA 94 shirts by the 30th anniversary. I have not completed the task, but here is what I have managed to put together…. 41/43 available shirts - Morocco and Mexico away elude me (5 were matchworn only)

Presenting the father 🧙‍♂️, son 👼🏼 and Holy Spirit 👻 - the 3 shirts I have been chasing since I started collecting, knowing they won’t ever get any cheaper, I pulled the trigger. Holland with van Basten 12, almost mint size M bruised 🍌 (hard to find) & Denmark came via Ukraine!

This one deserves its own post Matchworn 1985 Yugoslavia v France in a 86 World Cup qualifier. Worn by defender Vlado Čaplijć. Only way to know you have an authentic eastern bloc country is matchworn! Love those 80s numbers on Adidas shirts.

Look, I’ve got Covid, stuck in the house, I don’t need a better excuse to photograph more kits. My favourite World Cup, USA 94, probably because I was completely and utterly football obsessed. Stoichkov and Hagi were 2 of my favourite players at the time.

It’s one of the rarest Arsenal shirts, only ever player issue and thus only in XL or XXL to cater for the fashion sense of the mid 90s! Lucky to get an XXL to rest on my small/medium frame.

Yesterday’s arrival was special. This player and this shirt are deep in my memories with their incredible run to the World Cup semi-finals in 1994, the highlight being the 2-1 win in the quarter finals with Stoitchkov’s incredible free kick and Letchkov’s iconic diving header.

Didn’t think much of this when it came out but it is beautiful in hand. Always buy the long sleeve as it sells out, this is Aeroready and the quality is an awful lot better than recent aeroready, a lot closer to the authentic version, prefer last seasons club font though. #coyg
